Whatever happened to....

.....Michael Sharrett? His last appearence was in a film titled Kill Me Again way back in 1989!!! this is absurd!! I thought he was a good actor, particularly as Tom in Deadly Friend. Likewise whatever happened to Matthew Laborteaux?:(

Forgive me, only I'm excavating my old VHS collection and came across said films, I'm genuinely interested to know what has become of these two fine actors?

I swear there used to be one of these threads, all about washed up, or not so washed up; stars that just all-of-a-sudden disappeared.

It was started bt Steve-O or Count or someone, I remember reading it, twas alot of fun...

Anyway, continue, I am done reminiscing now.

It's always nice to see someone who can appriciate a character actor in the business, nice one Halo! I thought this kid was a solid bet, I cant find a damn thing on him either, its like he vanished from the face of the earth...go figure.

But it isnt too uncommon for someone new in the 'biz' to do a few roles then drop from sight, it does happen. Like the guy who played 'Jake' in 16 candles, he dropped out of acting to pursue work as a carpenter, at least thats what I have read.




I dug Michael Sharrett in "Deadly Friend" as well, the classic moments as follows:

When Paul tells him what he has planned, they cut to the exterior of the house and Tom shouts
"Are you out of your fucking mind?!"

The other classic, when Pauls mom exclaims "Damn, I make good coffee" Tom chokes and the milk shoots out his nose...LOL! :D
