I like a little of every musical genre. But if there is anything in particular, I enjoy a lot of the rock, pop and synthesizer tunes from the 80's (in personality, I am very 80's! :p ). The one band I definitely really like is Blondie.

I like a lot of music. I like classic rock, 80s, 70s, anything 50s and 60s, dance & techno, some heavy metal, and some country (mostly the old singers like Patsy Cline and Brenda Lee). I don't care for current country music, and rap I can take only in small doses. Some of the rappers I like are Outkast, Black Eyed Peas, and Missy Elliot, because they also incorporate singing and some good grooves into their songs. I can't stand gangsta rap.

When it comes to music, I'm full-on pop. My Madonna obsession first began at age 6 and still remains to this day. Some of my other favorites include Britney Spears, Ace of Base, Aqua, Kelly Clarkson, Vitamin C, Delta Goodrem, Amber, Belinda Carlisle, RuPaul, Jewel, A*Teens, and some Kylie Minogue.
With that list, I'm sure to receive a few wisecracks. But, before you get your claws out, remember I didn't badmouth your tastes. :P

BLACK SABBATH!
I really don't need any more then Black Sabbath, but when I'm hungry for something else, I pop in some jazz, blues, new wave, dark wave, industrial, grunge, all sorts of metal and the occasional punk.
NINE INCH NAILS, MINISTRY and IRON MAIDEN are also very high on my list.

Okay, I didn't fully mean that. I do need more then Black Sabbath, but it just rules so damn hard I sometimes say things about it that aren't the full truth. Other Sabfans will understand.

No, I'm not gonna badmouth anyone's taste (although I can enjoy a discussion about it, but that's often mistaken for badmouthing).
Anyway, I'm gonna forget all the other favorites you named, and just say: you're absolutely right, MADONNA RULES.

carpenterfan, your list kicks ass. Eddie is far and away my favorite guitarist as well. And Van Halen is my favorite rock band.
I love most older rock and roll as well as some of the newer rock that comes out. Most of it is relatively tame and a bit on the pop side, including:
Van Halen
The Beatles
Eric Clapton
Foreigner
Led Zeppelin
Metallica
Disturbed
Aerosmith
Godsmack
Nirvana
Pearl Jam
The Who
The Doors
Soundgarden
Alice In Chains
Audioslave
U2
Pink Floyd
Foo Fighters
Red Hot Chili Peppers
And tons of 80's cheese, mainly:
The Police
Queensryche
Ozzy Osbourne (Sabbath, too)
Kiss
Def Leppard
Country/Rock:
Johnny Cash
The Eagles
Rap-Rock:
Faith No More
Kid Rock (The cheesiest!)
311
Hip Hop:
Cypress Hill
Public Enemy
I like most classical music, but I'm picky about when I listen to it.
