SUBSPECIES any good?

I saw the SUBSPECIES trailer on the HELLRAISER III VHS tape and it looks fucking kick ass.

Is it any good? How are the 4 Sequels? What is the story line without any spoilers?

I have not watched them in a while but I got all 4 on video. The basic plot surrounds evil vampire Radu and his "love" interest Michelle. The first three take place mostly in European countryside with old castles and graveyards. The atmosphere really makes the movies work. All 4 are pretty bloody.
The first one is my fave. Three college girls go to Romania and befriend good vampire Stefan who then has to protect them from his brother Radu. They also battle for the blood stone which is a crystal the has everlasting blood in it. Angus Scrimm plays the King of the Vampires. The f/x are a little blah. Overall its a good B movie.
Subspecies 2: Bloodstone and Subspecies 3: Bloodlust where shot back2back so they play like one long movie. They have more budget than the first one. They also have more of a supernatural element. An American girl comes to Romania to find her sister who was in the first one.The main good guy from F-13 pt. 7 is in both films. The also have the bumbling cop as well. I liked the 2nd one more than the 3rd. but both are good.
Subspecies 4: Bloodstorm takes place mostly in a night club for vampires. My least fave but its still watchable.
The Vampire Journals film is loosely connected to Subspecies 4. They both take place in the same club and both have vampire Ash.If you like Subspecies I recommend this film as well.

Full Moon released all 4, but there really not bad.I taped mine off of cinemax years ago. Some places have them to rent and ebay has them sometimes. You can find them on bootleg DVD but they are very expensive and not worth it imo.

I've seen the first two and for DTV horror, it's not that bad. The Romanian locations really do make the movies.

I have seen Subspecies IV: The Bloodstone and I must say it was pretty good, sure it's cheap but the romanian location, the gore and Radu make you want to see it.

I saw the first one and I thought it was god damn fucking boring as shit. A totally unintresting film, did nothing for me. Although I must admit the Radu character is kinda cool. still I would have to say this movie sucked penis all night long.
