Well. here we go again. Last year I vowed to curb my expensive DVD habit last year, but, it looks like it didn't work so well.

It started on January 3rd with American Wedding and S.W.A.T. and ended Tuesday, December 28th with My Man Godfrey-Criterion, Yojimbo-Criterion and Walking Tall (2004).

135 DVDs this year!

What kind of damage did you do???

Yeah, I'll go with the "shit load" answer as well. I actually wouldn't want to know how many DVD's I purchased last year. I'd probably faint if I knew the number, and most importantly, if I knew how much I spent. :D

If I bought 12 last year that was alot..the most I bought in a year was 72... I was really zooming at one time with my collection..up to 300...but since then have sold some and really only buy when I LOVE a film..

.. but I rented and watched about 190 films in 2004.. and if I was still wasting my time and money and going to places like BB or HW, that would have cost me $760! ..not counting gasoline...Instead, my trusty Netflix has only billed me for $240..KA-CHING SAVINGS not to mention movies those waste of time stores dont carry...go to Netflix people...that extra dough will buy ya more dvds, better dvd players, or even an entire kick ass home theater... ;)

I've counted my collection over and over again and I'm just going to estimate that I got well over 200 Dvds last year. I started with Terminator 3 in January and ended with Friday the 13th- From Crystal Lake to Manhattan, Escape From New York: SE, and Toxie's Triple Terrors Volume 4.

Romero's Dead

Let's see... I bought 5 in '04.

Maybe you could curb your expensive DVD habit if you stopped throwing 20$ down the toilet a pop for Walking Tall and S.W.A.T. Just a thought.

Walking Tall = $7.49 used and S.W.A.T. = 9.95 used. I'm dumb, but not $20.00 each dumb. Kind of like dumb... on the cheap!

I have DVDProfiler on my PC at home. I could tell you how much, when, where, how many I have with DTS, Commentary, list them in production year, and even the exact amount I have in 2.35 widescreen if you really wanted to known. I recommend it to anyone. It's free.

Don't take this the wrong way, i'm not trying to be difficult, but what is the point?

It keeps track of things, which really helps when you have a lot of DVDs. It's even kind of addicting when you mess with it. Click on one disc and it brings up the cast. Click on one of the cast members and it will show you all the other discs you have with them in it. I put in personal notes about them, if they were a gift, who got it for me. If I saw the film in the theater. Whatever.

I'm pretty anal about my collection.

Like I said, it's free, try it.
