...and make it more like a horror/sci-fi, mixing it like a seriel killer horror with Aliens action and make it gritty in style...
I would like to see a movie about Judge Death coming to Mega City from his dimension and starts killing the residence of Mega City and Judge Dredd and PSI Anderson teams up hunting him.
The Deaths would be graphic (Judge Death busting his hand through someones face or back etc)
Make Paul Verhoeven direct it.
Dredd is a facist cop/Judge, and who better than Verhoeven can make a movie like that...
As Dredd I would like to see an unknown , because he never takes of his helmet (not so we see it anyway)
Andersson would be a tall blond lady in her late 30`s
and as Dredd´s old partner Judge Hershey they should cast Lauren Graham because she´s so right for that role...
They follow the comicbook and the ending would be fought back in Judge Deaths dimension (thinking Fulcis The Beyond)
Wouldn´t that be an asskicker of a movie??

Didn't Judge Dredd do poorly at the box office?

I would love another Judge Dredd movie, only to hopefully get it right this time. And I'll still stand by Sly Stalone I think he could have played a great Dredd I just think the screenplay was horrible and his was directed poorly.

Agreed, Sly did an excellent job w/ the character. The problem with the film was the stupid sidekick "Fergie" character that they decided to throw in. It really brought the whole movie down IMO. As a long time 2000 A.D. and Judge Dredd fan, I'd love to see a Judge Dredd movie w/ Judge Death and the dark judges. I'd also dig a movie about Mega City One's Apocalypse War too! Given good writers (Alan Moore) and the right director (Guillermo Del Torro?) I think a Judge Dredd movie could kick some serious ass!

I think that it'd be pretty hard to do a big budget Judge Dredd movie now, considering what happened with the first movie (re: it pissed a lot of hardcore Dredd fans off). While I too would like to see a second film, I don't think Sly would be game either, considering he was at odds constantly with how the character should be portrayed.

Stallone was crap! When he said "I am the Law" i almost laughed!
Awful film that put paid to the chance of anyone doing another. Especially with the cost it would take.
Re-read the comics and be happy with that.

It would be good if another film was made and Stallone was kept the fuck away from it.
As Mr-Blonde said, The Apocalypse War would be one great film (if done correctly). That said, The Cursed Earth, Judge Death and The Judge Child would also make great films.
From other 2000AD strips, I would LOVE to see movies made from Strontium Dog and Rogue Trooper... Can't see it happening, though. :(

Okay-- I'll give that one to you! I guess he was kinda silly as Dredd, but I still enjoyed the movie a little. Judge Dredd does need to sound more intelligent than Rocky Balboa though. LMAO!
But who to cast in the role?
Awhile ago I'd have cast Mad Mel Gibson but he's getting to old.
Hugh Jackman? He'd probably do a better job than Stallone did.
Hmmm- how about the Rock?
"Can you smell what the law's cookin' perp?!"

If the film had been made when it was meant to be then Clint Eastwood would have been perfect (he was always the readers choice at the time)...but the whole 'never takes the helmet off' thing means you can't bring ego to the role.
So perhaps an unknown would be better....but then again Jim Carrey buries himself under latex for movies like "The Grinch" so perhaps someone who would be happy under the helmet could be found.

while i wouldnt mind another judge dredd film (i quite liked the first film) and i thought stallone did a good job i cant see it happenning, after how the film was received nobody would find it profitable and the character doesnt seem to be as big now as he used to be

I fully believe Guy Pearce would make a great Judge Dredd.
I've heard there's a Chopper (the sky surfer/ grafiti artist) reference somewhere in the JD movie. Can anyone tell me what it is?
