Dude, Where's My Car. My friends made me watch it last night instead of the masterful "O". It was even worse than I ever could have imagined.
We just recently watched Superman II and it was seriously the most horrid piece of crap. I can't believe I used to watch that when I was a kid.

Easy one for me...
Unbreakable http://www.joblo.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
At least other bad movies had the laugh at factor going for them (i.e Godzilla, ID4), but this one was just a pure waste of 2+hrs.
I know not many (if any) people will agree with me, but it's only an opinion. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
LOL, Godzilla was on NBC last night.

That's true! It was starting just as I was leaving the house, although I probably would have rather stayed home and watched it (horrible as it is) rather than renting Dude, Where's My Car

From the MST3K filmography: "Manos: The Hands of Fate"- THE all-time worst f-in' movie.
From outside the MST realm: "Crash"- Holy Hell did I not like this film. Horrible stuff.

A movie directed by Ed wood called “Glen or Glenda”. Mind you it is a road accident where it so bad yet difficult to look away.

Good choice, Quebec-Joel. Puma Man was so bad that it was painful! It's one of my few 1/10s (and no, not all of my 1/10s are MST3K movies, just most of them).
But I'd say the absolute worst movie I've ever seen is Hobgoblins. Dear lord, what a horrible movie! Absolutely zero redeeming qualities, it's just bad in every possible way!

That's really bad too. But I choose The Puma Man, cause I saw it without the funny comments of MST3K the first time I watched it. I didn't laught really much at it. They were some cheesy moments but not many. At least with Hobgoblins you get a couple of laughts, even without MST3K.
---------------
...and don't forget everyone. I asked the one single worst movie. Not a list like the person that posted Apocalypse Now (ouch, that was a weird choice).

Oh man, someone said "Cabin Boy"! That movie made me laugh alot, surprisingly. Nothing better to do when drunk than watch that movie, imo of course.
However...my friends and I make a point to rent bad movies to see HOW BAD they really are, and here's a list for ya.
"Fat Guy Goes Nutzoid"
"Night of the Lepus"
"Black Rage"
"The Invincible Super-Chan"
"Ninja Warrior"
"Murdercycle"
"Rolling Vengeance"...the cover of which has a monster truck with a big-ass DRILL on the front. Great stuff.
Rent these movies if you really wanna lose some IQ and laugh at the stupidest things you've ever seen on film.

Fight Club. I can't ever understand how this movies get radical approach. You either hate it or love it I guess. But to put it in the WORST movie of all time is kinda too radical. Same goes for Apocalypse Now. You can dislike them, but putting them as worst ever is just to be controversial and nothing else.

*L* I'll best most people here list movies made in the 90's. Sorry people, to find a truly horrible movie you have to go all the way back to 1963....and Tom Jones! The worst movie I've ever seen.

Well, a lot of people say Battlefield Earth is the worst movie they've ever seen.
Trust me guys, as bad as Battlefield Earth is, there are MUCH worse movies out there that make it look like freaking Citizin Kane. I watched all of the following while they were made fun of on MST3K.
Hobgoblins:
When I watched this on MST3K, I was cracking the fuck up. Mike and the bots did such a damn good job of mocking it. We get a throwaway, stupid plot, ANNOYING-AS-FUCK characters, a pointless and ridiculous 7-minute yard rake fight (the bot's commentary on this was fuckin hillarious), the "hobgoblins" who look like rejects from Gremlins, and move around so fake I expect to see the strings or hands moving around the puppets.
Prince of Space:
This movie was pure shit. And laughable villains in stupid costumes. I liked how the bots on MST3K made fun of the villain because he looked like a chicken and his name was "Krankwhore". LOL.
Overdrawn at the Memory Bank:
Okay, what the fuck was this confusing mess of a turd about? Something about a guy stuck in a computer, then countless, stupid scenes that never explain what the fuck is going on.
Plan 9 From Outer Space:
I think this has more flaws than any movie I've ever seen. So bad its funny.

I am unaware as to what all your criteria are for worst film. But folks listing "Fight Club" sounds more like a "This flick was so hyped up but when it saw it, it couldn't possibly live up to my expectations." The reason that great films like "Titanic" get raked over the coals. No WAY could any film live up to Titanic's hype. Kind of like my reaction to "2001: A Space Odyssey". I didn't like this flick one bit. Spent quite a bit of time fast forwarding through it, actually. But how AFI put in in their top 100, I'll never know.
Anyway, Bad script, poor directoral pace, obvious plotting, and cardboard characters (often a side-effect of bad script) ON A BLOCKBUSTER BUDGET are what I take into consideration.
That said, I surprised that "Speed 2: Cruise Control" didn't appear on anyone's list. Yet Siskel & Ebert gave it Two thumbs up? Heh. No wonder I don't think this guy can't tell the difference between great film and soap film.
I can see where ID4 would get some votes, but it's incredibly good eye candy and there are some good INTENTIONAL laugh lines there (i.e. "You did NOT shoot that GREEN shit at me!" - Will Smith).
Speed 2, man.
Also on my list of recent crap:
Dungeons & Dragons
Fast & the Furious
Crazy/Beautiful
Domestic Disturbance

Well, 2001 ain't a movie for all tastes. It's something that ain't ever been made before and that have never been made again. A pure philosophical movie. It is extremely slow-moving. For the casual movie-goer, it is hard to live with a movie that doesn't have any hero. The characters are not developed at all. You cannot identify with anyone. It's a cold man's world(no women here). There is alot of silence, not many dialogue. No psychology except maybe from Hal. It is purely an esthetical masterpiece. After this movie, Kubrick will be his only reference. In Clockwork Orange, he will quote himself with the 2001 album.
AFI is a piece of trash, like the Academy awards and all the rest. But it would actually be a blasphemy if they wouldn't put it under the top 10 list. It is after all the most important movie of the last 50 year.

We have to start w/ MST 3K. My choices go like this: Worst (i.e. Best, or Funniest)
Joel era: Manos: the Hands of Fate Simply say the word "Torgo" to me, and watch me collapse into helpless laughter.
Mike era: The Brain That wouldn't Die I've watched this one on the SciFi Channel w/o the Treatment, and it's still hilarious.
SciFi Channel Era: The Incredibly Strange Creatures That Stopped Living and Became Mixed Up Zombies "Inspector Madison! Thank God you're here!"
Outside of the MST 3K realm, it's simple: Who's That Girl http://www.joblo.com/ubb/frown.gif One of my Madonna-loving friends dragged me to this and I've never really forgiven him for it. Shining Through is also astonishingly dreadful. Between those two, that's $10-$12.00 I ain't ever getting back...

Q-Joel: "Fat Guy..." was a rolling, energetic film with all of the charisma of a...ummm...pencil eraser. Really, the movie sucked so bad it was good.
Here we are, thinking it may actually be a comedy of sorts, ala "Disorderlies" or "Revenge of the Nerds", but no. No, no, no, no. It was just the story of some schizophrenic, overweight retarded guy and his "crusade" in the loony bin. Or something. It's still just a dull buzz in my memory.
