Toxie's Triple Terrors

Has anybody else picked up one of these boxsets? I picked up volume 3 for my birthday. All in all I think itsa fairly ingenious concet: 3 cheesy ass Troma movies in a neat little boxset for a very low, low price. The one I bought came with such classics as Video Demons Do Psychotown , Croaked , and Horror of the Hungry Humongous Hungans . I've yet to watch all of them, but I watched a good 30 minutes of 'Video Demons' and I have to say, from a bad movie lover's point of view, it is glorious.

I have one of these, but it's not presented by Toxie. Mine includes Garden of the Dead, Buttcrack, and Unspeakable. I haven't watched Garden of the Dead, Buttcrack is hilarious and worth it for Mojo Nixon's performance alone, and as for Unspeakable, one of the most vile, disturbing, and just plain old disgusting films I've ever seen. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I have Volumes one and two, they're surprisingly disappointing. Even from another B-movie lover, these are some of their worst products.

Volume 1-

Curse of the Cannibal Confederates- 2/10 the most annoying zombie film next to Fulci's House By the Cemetery.

Deadly Daphne's Revenge- 3/10 blithering, non-exploitive I Spit on Your Grave clone that doesn't have any sort of point besides being notorious for nothing.

Demented Death Farm Massacre- 3/10 headache inducing bore that tries so very hard to mix comedy with horror and doesn't succeed at either. Fred Olen Ray shot additional scenes, but it's still a mess.

Volume 2-

Evil Clutch- 3/10 Good cinemtography, bad everything else. Shades heavily of Evil Dead.

Beyond Evil- 0/10 John Saxon is cool, but this is the most boring film they've (Troma) ever released.

Chillers- 5/10 Harmless anthology, has some fun moments but is far too pedestrian to capitalize on the good ideas.

I'am a Troma fan but I haven't seen any of those films. A friend of mine saw Unspeakable and was pretty shocked by it though.

I was going to get the one with Deadly Daphnes Revenge. But...
I am going to pass now.
