I like the fact that they are obviously building upon the first film. Great trailer although considering how good the traile r of the first film was not a big surprise.

Loved the scene with water floating to the cieling even though i dont know what that means.

Also did you notice for the length of the trailer it never really revealed exactly what the plot is. Very smart

another movie that did that was "man on fire"

I agree with "Very smart"

The deer sequence has me most intrigued. That deer had that "you gonna eat your corn bread look", she looked pissed! I am just a little bothered by the fact that they showed to much visually. I mean alot of the scenes although short could of been mind blowing had they been kept under wraps until release. But now they are going to be pounded into your brains for the next 2 months and won't have as much an impact.

For instance. Samara grabbing rachel through the tube. and Samara crawling up the well. 2 very key scenes that I think will now lose some of its impact. That is why i am not watching this trailer again. I will try to avoid it like the plague.

Pretty much agree with you one this one Chinton. We got a bit of the jist of what was going on and some excellent imagery to boot. Intruging, I sort of hope that its attached with White Nosie so I can get more of a second chance to take it all in. Did everyone see it on entertainment tonight, or was it just me?

I saw it on Entertainment Tonight but it's also in Apple.com (they suck, I can't download into my file! ).

Anyway, the trailer most certainly rocked! This has now on my top 10 most anticipated movies of 2005!

Ok now I have seen the trailer! I saw the one on ET and well they cut it up alot. Must be to make room for the who's fucking who segments. Anyway I agree it totally rocks! And the deer sequence looks like it could be off the hook. I love the part when rachel asks aiden if maybe he should go to sleep and he just stairs at her. Creepy!!!

I have a weird feeling that Rachel isn't going to make it out of this alive. What do you guys think? Happy ending or not?

thats an interesting theory. I mean Samara is probably a little pissed off at her.

Also that kid really gives me the creeps

SPOILERS FOR THE RING

I think Samara would be thanking her. Rachel really made the curse be spread even more by getting her body out of the well.

END SPOILERS

I liked the trailer, save for the really shitty effect of Samara's arms out at the TV. I hope Nakata goes for his much creepier "eye" than the CGI shitfest in the first one.

I was hoping she didn't make it out of the first one alive , we could have avoided the sequel .

This had to be one of the best trailers I've seen in a long time (right up there with Sin City).

I'm very much looking forward to this film!

Hopefully this one establishes that Samara can come out of any glass surface.

It is possible, because in Ringu a person died in their car, which was because of the window(reflective glass surface)

I thought it was electronics, and that the victim in the car was listening to the radio, but I could be wrong.

Nope. You were wrong.

:)

Actually in the new trailer that had the little boy (Hayden??) holding a DV-Cam and looking thru the HCD. In it you can see Samara's hair/head looming up behind him and he doesnt see her.

I think that may be part of the 'looking glass' motif the Asian movies established in the sequels.

I've only ever seen the trailer where the woman is in the nuthouse cutting circles out of stuff and talking to herself saying "You let the dead get in."

Good trailer though, specially when it goes dark and then the tv kicks on to show the well. Everytime that happens, every theater I've been in, people have screamed. Then, it flashes twO and everytime I hear people say "oh shit, Ring 2, the first scared me so bad."

One of my friends saw the first, and freaked out so much he hasnt seen it again. We saw Meet the Fockers a couple weeks ago and this trailer was shown, and when it flashed twO he freaked out. Big time. I've never seen anyone freak out like that at a trailer. Or anything really.

Cant wait for this one.

As thrilling as the movie may be, I have no interest.

I'm bored of the story as is, and I just don't find a little girl very spooky, even if she is dead. And if they couldn't stop her before, what's the point of trying. She's a ghost. The rules are already out the window, especially since she can climb out of TV's and mangle people's faces by looking at them.

SO CALL BILL MURRAY ALREADY.

And BTW, the plot was given away in the trailer. Samara is trying to possess the little kid, as was mentioned.

Yeah, because trailers arent supposed to tell you what the movie is about.
