ok so people say this director's cut is much better than the original, so as Im watching the original tonight on HBO Family (wierd channel to have it on in my opinion) I become increasingly curious.....

nudity? violence amplified? some colorful additions to the dialogue? anyone wanna enlighten me.....it might lead to a DVD purchase if the additional footage sounds juicy enough

Sorry, pal, but from what I remember, the director's cut of "Daredevil" doesn't include any juicy footage in the way of nudity and language.

The fight scenes were supposedly extended, although not to any degree that they would qualify for a "hard R-rating".

If I recall correctly (from what I read in EW), the biggest addition to the film was a court sub-plot where Matt Murdoch defended a character played by Coolio.

As I recall from watching it a few weeks ago there were a couple F-words and some partial nudity with the dancers at the one bar. I really wish this was the cut released in theatres, the director's cut is a very solid flick which I own.

One other thing they cut out of the director's cut is some of the love story with elektra and matt murdock. That helps the movie move a long faster. The opening when murdock is a kid also is changed a little. The kingpin also kills two of his body guards in very cool ways.

The addition of extra fighting and the occasional f word makes it better. The line where bullseye says "i want a bloody costume, " is changed to "i want a fuckin costume, " it's not that big of a differnece, but for me the little things like that matter.

Its just an overall better movie. Feels far more complete.

Ditto. It's definately worth a look t3h Qster, if you enjoyed the original cut.

Correct me if I am wrong, but this Quasi-DoubleDip does NOT include any extras, right? This is JUST the movie with extra footage and a tighter edit? I feel burned by the "Directors Cut" of Hellboy, whcih really didn;t expand on anything of importance. I want to be sure that my $17.98 at Wal*Mart is spent wisely.

Actually, I heard there's some kind of whole documentary on there called "The Devil's Due" or something, where the director and others talk about how this is what they wanted in theatres, and they had to fight the studio, etc. Sounds pretty cool. If it's ever cheap, I might get it, because although I enjoyed the first one, and I hear this one is better, I'm not made of money, and I hate that double-dipping crap, even though technically this isn't a double dip.
