Cool thing is it has all the covers inside so you dont have to store the dvds in the box. weird thing is it includes all the films aprt from jason goes to hell. even freddy vs jason.

Oooohhhh... coooooool....

Now, does it include the US cut version of Friday 1, or the uncut version? I've got the uncut on tape, and it's MUCH better.

See, the Asians do everything better. Movies, DVD releases, natrual disasters... everything! ;)

That set is perfect, if they can do it why can't we? BUT! What are the editions and special features?

I mean, it excludes the only film in the series I "don't like", and I already own it separately (along with the 8 Bare-bones Paramount releases, Jason X and Freddy Vs Jason)...

If the special features are only trailers, then I'm sure you'll retract your statement about the set being perfect. Unfortunately, far from it. I'm still holding out in hopes of a really great boxset coming out some day although I know it's not likely.

From what I can tell from the "pictures"...looks like they just strung together to typical DVD's and called it a "box set"

Columbia House has had the same thing for a while now.

It's a bootleg, but it still looks nice.

And before people ask me how I know it's a bootleg, I just do.

I've bought plenty of Asian bootlegs from eBay because they're so cheap. Among the bootlegs I've bought have been:

South Park seasons 1 and 2 for $9 each
The Dead Zone season 1 for $7
Nightmare On Elm Street collection for $12
Complete Hitchcock collection (30-something discs) for $25
Complete Stanley Kubrick collection for $12
X-Files seasons 2 and 3 for $8 each

And so on. You can tell they're bootlegs in a couple of ways:

• Discs in small paper or plastic, tissue-lined sleeves (like in your second pic).
• Poor spelling on the back (my Dead Zone box set is called "The Domplete Collection").

Other than that they look practically perfect. The boxes are in good condition and the disc quality is usually pretty much as good as the US versions.

Don't be disheartened though, just because it's a bootleg doesn't mean it's a great set. Hell, I'd buy it! I definitely don't regret buying any of mine. :)
