I'm getting a real good kick out of Japanese horror flicks as well as a few action ones how about some more suggestions before Hollywood bastardizes them

Well, for my money, Asian Horror is where it's at right now... and I guess Hollywood thinks so too, what with all the remakes. Here are a few more...

For good scares: Honogurai mizu no soko kara, horribly translated as 'Dark water'.

For realistic disturbing gore: Guinea pig 2: Flowers of flesh and blood

I just found a movie called Shikoku with a younger Chigusa from Battle Royale (Go Go from Kill Bill). I haven't finished watching it but it's more of a drama with supernatural elements.

She was one of the school girls, I believe, in one of the original TV films of Ju-On. Not the theatrical versions.

I've seen so many I forget a lot but I remember those the most. I still have a long list of movies to watch from Asia.

Oh yeah, so you know 5 movies have been remade(3 ju-ons, dark water and ringu), 4 are being remade(the eye, two sisters, ringu 2 and dark water).

i've seen audition, Ju-on:the grudge, and Akira(i know akira is technically not a horror movie, but it does have some horrific scenes.)
