Saw this movie back in the early 80īs (itīs from 1982)
and has our favourite Texas lawman Walker...sorry Chuck Norris in the role as a sherrif gunning down a psycho that chopped two people with an axe.(itīs his men gunning not the sherrif)
The psycho John kirby is brought to the hospital and anounced dead shortly after, but some doctors have a new drug they injects Kirby with that makes him heal and become an indestructable killing machine.
It is a rather good slasher type of horror movie with Ron Silver and William Finnley in supporting roles...

Has anybody else seen this movie?

I've also seen this flick. I thought it was pretty good. The opening scene was actually pretty creepy (great mood and excellent music) with the main baddie Kirby getting ready to do some damage, and the film has scenes throughout that successfully can give you a couple of goosebumps (the scenes in the hospital for example). Also, it helps that I like Chuck Norris (this film being in his blond hair days) and it's always nice to see action stars in horror films (I also liked Sly in the thriller Eye See You and Arnold in End of Days). Plus, like I said before, the music is excellent.

Also like Chuck Norris' Hero and the Terror, although that's a thriller instead of a horror film (and the pace is a little slower).

I have this slasher on VHS and I must say it's a pretty good movie not terrific but a good time waster.

It could have been more gory but you have some nudity (just a bit)
The killer is not really impressive but he does his job well and he does not wear any mask and he does not speak at all.
Some good scenes like the fight in the bar or the last fight in the wood.
