This looks like a really cute movie. I'm a big Meg Ryan fan, I find her adorable. This looks like it will be a good date flick. Plus I like the song in the previews, "Everywhere" by Michelle Branch. I'm not expecting it to be too original but it looks cute and fun.

I'm not sure if I'll see it in theaters or not but I know I will eventually see it.

Does anyone else want to see it?

I want to see it. But, I wont see it in theaters. I guess I mainly want to see it because I'm a fan of Hugh Jackman. Ever since he kicked ass in X-Men (literally and figuratively)! And the movie looks like a harmless little romantic comedy that'll be good to possibly rent 5 or 6 months down the road.

Kate & Leopold looks decent, but I'll probably wait for video. I'm not a big Meg Ryan fan anymore but I am a big fan of Hugh Jackman, he's a very good actor and the premise to this film is kinda neat.....

I'll wait for video!

Oh my god does this movie look like crap. I'm sorry but the tv spot said it all. A time travel romantic comedy? Just not a good idea. The time travel premise has fast become a cliche. and as a comedy, it is a huge cliche. I like Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman, but this seems more and more like a rental and I possibly might never see it.

I must agree! who came up with this idea!? http://www.joblo.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

And what a movie for Meg to pick she has been in a lot of stinkers lately.

I like her and a romantic vehicle is what she needs because she is so cute and fuzzy but "You've Got Mail 2- The Attachment" sounds more interesting.

Hugh rocks and I am very upset to see him doing this.

It is not in any way original and is more movie of the week material in my opinion.

I know I have not seen it and most likely never will even in video. So slam me if you wish for being closed minded but I think I can safely say that it will flop and after it opens the box office will back me up.

Only time and other peoples heartache will tell.

Until then,

Out........

A time travel comedy movie would 9 time out of 10 completely turn me off, but for some reason I have a feeling Kate & Leopold will be in the good to very good (possibly great) range. I don't know what it is that makes me think that, but I do. I'll have to see it and let you know.

Uhhhhh, this, movie looks terrible. I saw the trailer for the first time a few days ago, and it was so bad. I'll only see this on video if it gets great word of mouth.

C'mon! why's people being so harsh on Meg's latest films (PROOF OF LIFE- HANGINH UP). i'm a huge fan of hers and this film looks really fun. i wish it'd work well in theatrs because the last thing Meg Ryan would need these days is another flop. i will defenitly go see it in cinema (when released)

I think Meg Ryan is a good actress, but she's no looker. Hugh Jackman on the other hand is one GRRREAT reason to see this movie...Hope he has "many a shirtless scenes" in this movie! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif

Got this bit from Dark Horizons (http://www.darkhorizons.com/) today...very strange...I don't think I've ever heard of a film being cut a week before being shown. I actually remember seeing all of these scenes in the screening which I attended. Maybe early reviews on the Net do make a difference?

"Kate & Leopold: The romantic comedy has undergone some big last minute re-editing to drop various plot points. Gone from the final element: "Removal of the plot point in which Liev Schreiber's character Stuart, is a direct descendant of Hugh Jackman's character, Leopold. Removal of the opening few shots which spoil elements later on in the movie, removal of the scene set at a theater market research screening, and the subsequent scene in which Kate and her assistant, Darci, discuss the screening results in the back seat of a taxi". Theatres with the oriinal prints have been asked to destroy and/or send them back."

Joblo, since you have seen the movie would you say it was a good idea to cut those scenes?

I must say I'm a little disappointed, I wish I would have seen the Sneak Preview last weekend. Now I'll have to see the cut version http://www.joblo.com/ubb/frown.gif.

Yes, Yes I am quoting myself again!

Well my wife dragged and I mean dragged me to this movie.

This happens once in a while, I have to show her I love her by sitting thru some crapburger like Save The Last Dance, or Crazy/Beautiful.

So again tonight I proved my worth by going to Kate and Leopold.

And I have to say I was pleased.

Sure it has some holes in the plot like the suddenly appearing pictures of the past on the podium at the end but it was enjoyable.

Hugh was great and thankfully Meg wasn't too whiny!

So being a man I will reverse my prior opinion and give it an enjoyable rating of 6/10.

And I did see the edited version, no mention of the relationship between Leopold and the old boyfriend, damn!

Out.....
