Neil Gaiman. Theres not much I can say about the dude that hasn't been said before but the man is the best storyteller I've ever come across. There a numurous threads on his works in the book section of this site but just recently I discovered his first foray into filmmaking. A Short Film about John Bolton. I can't really talk about the documentary itself without giving away it's eccentries so I'll just state that to sum it up is it's looking at the life of John Bolton who paints nude blood covered vampires and Bolton's creative process. I know that doesn't sound too exciting but the film is really good and worth a looksie by any horror loving fan. Gaiman handles the directing really well and it's an interesting experimental stepping stone to the larger directing projects he's going to take on later on in the near future.
Now the heart of this dvd are the special features. Included is a full length performance by Gaiman reading his work and answering questions at a CBLDF event in Portland. This alone is worth the 20 plus dollars for the dvd. If your a fan of Gaiman or just listening to stories in general this is a must have. It's a great presentation and gives a nice over view of his work and all the different spectrums Gaiman covers in his writing.
I just wanted to put this thread on the board for the Gaiman fans as well as anyone who might be interested. it's really worth tracking it down. :)
