HASSELHOFF WANTS TO GET OVER 'BAYWATCH'

Actor David Hasselhoff is happy to take cameo roles in movies because it stops him from constantly being typecast as "that guy from 'Baywatch'."

Hasselhoff dismisses the show as "fluffy," insisting he has so much more to offer as an actor -- his latest cameo is in the movie version of the hit cartoon "SpongeBob SquarePants."

He tells British movie magazine Empire, "I'm proving I'm not just that guy from 'Baywatch' or 'Knightrider.' Those are just characters I've created ... get over it guys! 'Knightrider' is about a talking car! Hello? 'Baywatch' was just a fluffy show with hardly any scripts!"



David is idolized abroad in Germany what is he sooooo worried about? :D

Oh, yeah, right! Cameos in movies like Spongebob are going to establish him as a serious actor...get a clue, man!

Maybe not a serious actor but it keeps his name out there. I loved his cameo in Dodgeball. Just another situation of someone being typecast for every role. I mean he did KnightRider for what, 5 years and then Baywatch for 10? He is going to have to bust his ass to get over those roles and move on. I like the guy. Always did a good job and is entertaining (well his acting anyway, Im not German so I dont enjoy his music).

The 'Hoff has already starred in 2 legendary TV series so I wouldn't bet against him making it big again.

He just needs another angle like a talking car or Pammy's silicone enhanced breasts.

How about a show about talking boobs?

Yep, good ol Gary. Knight Rider had a ton of famous people. I remember seeing Bel Biv Devoe on there before they hit it big.
