**** Possible spoilers for HIDE AND SEEK, I haven't seen it, but in this post lies my hypothesis of the ending****
C'mon Hollywood! The past couple of weeks I've been seeing the TV spot for "Hide and Seek", which we all know is about a little girl and her killer imaginary friend Charlie, and it also stars DeNiro. But in these latest TV spots, I keep seeing a clip of a demented DeNIro saying "ready or not here I come." I mean COME ON!, could they make it ANYMORE OBVIOUS that the killer Charlie is really just Robert Deniro as another personality or something? I have yet to see the film, but any intelligent person can gather the supposed "Shockingly twisted" ending from a petty little TV spot. Absolutely ridiculous.
Can anyone here that's seen the film confirm if I'm right?

I can confirm you are right. It seemed that this trailer came out later though. I didn't remember seeing that part right away. Then maybe about 2 days before my friend dragged me to it (literally) I saw the spot for it, and heard DeNiro in a "Creepy" voice say come out where ever you are, or something stupid like that. Completely gave away an ending that couldn't have been more textbook if they tried. When they call something a "twist" ending maybe they shouldn't copy 12 others movies. What I am more pissed about is it is the highest grossing movie at the theatre. 22 Million dollars! EDITED BY POSTER For the record I used a student I.D. card along with a 2$ off coupon on the beverages and popcorn. I hate how people could make this movie the highest grossing movie in America. If this piece of trash can become the #1 movie then I honestly believe that I can make a movie that comes in the top 10 grossing movies for a weekend, (with the right promotion of course). But shh, don't tell anyone about my ending. I am going to have the BUTLER DO IT! Ha ha ha...no one and I mean no one will ever suspect the BUTLER. Bwah ha ha ha!!!

I hated that.
I also have yet to see the movie, but I read a spoiler, and when i saw the commercial that said something along the lines of "Don't let anyone spoil it for you" I almost plotzed.
They must think people are idiots.

Hollywood thinking we are idiots is a topic of my other rant. Believe me they do.

I'm a proud idiot for having paid money to see Hide and Seek.. I really enjoyed it, despite it's hum-drum over-used Hollywood "twist" ending.... :D

You stupid fucks that paid to see this movie ought to be shot.
Again with this shit? I have never been more offended by a member of this site than I have been with you in the past 2 days. Posting this audacious comment once is excusable. Twice is downright uncalled for. Check your fucking ego and get over yourself. I paid to see the goddamn movie and I liked it, and after your numerous potshots at the people who did, I have every bit of right to say 'kiss my ass' over it, as well as everyone else that did too.

I apologized for my comment on my other thread that I posted this on. I didn't even remember that I posted it again. I posted that at basically the same time, so be sick of it all you want I dont care. I am editing it just like I did my other post. And dude, I wasen't being serious about shooting someone who paid to see the movie. Jeez, you take shit way too seriously....If you want to see that I had already apologized and said that I was just joking around go see my other threads on this topic.

::Hi-fives Jackson13 for saying what I've been thinking::
SPOLIERS FOR HIDE AND SEEK
Yea, they've been fucking this up for a few years now (Identity comes to mind first) , its just as bad on the comdey front too, it sucks seeing all the gags in the trailer, and then finding out that what they put in the trailer was every funny gag in the flick. I also find it funny that they spoiled the ending of Hide and Seek in the ad that said DONT SPOIL THE ENDING FOR HIDE AND SEEK.

this is one of the reasons if theres a film i really really want to see i wont watch the trailer because i know either the ending will be in it, the funniest scenes will be in it or the big action sequences will
but if they didnt put stuff like that into them then they're not likely to get a lot of people to go

The sad fact is that the majority films released today don't have much more substance beyond what is revealed in the trailer.

I'll say this for Hide and Seek -- it would be a great cure for insomnia.
I don't know why so many of you care that the ending was spolied. If De'Niro would've told his daughter he was Charlie in the trailer the movie still would've sucked.
