Did anyone else see this? Am I overreacting?

So Paul Giamatti doesn't get a Golden Globe. Then he gets slighted for an Oscar nomination. But the cast wins a SAG for Best Ensemble, and Sandra Oh gets up there, flapping her yap and doesn't give anyone else a chance to give a short acceptance speech. She seriously acted like she received Best Actress and was all up there by herself. Granted, she was good in Sideways, but COME ON. Have some respect for the LEAD in the film, for chrissakes. And was I the only one who saw the looks she got from Thomas Haden Church and Paul Giamatti? I was shocked. Greedy trizzak!

Im just pissed because sideways really, didnt have any individual awards won, but they won the best cast....WHY?!??!?!?!?!?

...Just my opinion, but I think its bullshit.

I totally saw the looks between them. Giamatti looked pretty pissed throughout her entire speech, but I'm glad they won just because they didn't win any individual honors.

I agree too. I knew Morgan Freeman and Cate Blanchett would win instead of Tom or Virginia, but I was actually surprised when they won for Best Ensemble. I thought for sure the Aviator would take it.

Anyway I agree. She should have let Paul talk for them. She shouldn't have gone on with all the names. It was the SAGs. It's the actors that should be thanked.

I thought it was nice when he walked out earlier to present the movie. They were going wild. I think they went more wild than when Foxx won. Paul deserves the attention.

Me thinks Virginia should win the Oscar. Anybody with me on this one? I don't mind Morgan Freeman winning because he is such a great actor and deserves one. I just think Sideways will get shut out with most of the categories and think they should honor the movie by giving Supporting Actress to Virginia Madsen.

I didn't see the SAG show, but I heard an interview on NPR with Oh once and she sounded really stuck-up and arrogant so this news doesn't surprise me.

I saw it and it really changed my opinion of her. I used to love her. But ewww -- have some humility and let the real star talk.

Actually a while back on a interview with E! News Live with Virginia Madsen after SAG nods were annouced, she said that if they win the win the Best Cast award they would let Sandra accept on their behalf because she needed some recongnition too since only Paul, Thomas and Virignia were getting nominated at the awards shows instead of her.

Wow - I'm speechless.

Well, she definitely got noticed.

But I still wonder what all the dirty looks were about. Maybe she farted.

Every Giamatti facial expression that I've ever seen looks like a dirty look.

I'm thinking out loud, but maybe she never got nominated because she wasn't as good as the other three. She also happens to be the director's wife and he has the best shot at winning an Oscar. He could win for adapted screenplay. She'll get attention anyway.
