Hello,

In this local videostore, I saw some Japanese shockmovie-dvd's. They looked interresting, but I wanna be sure if they're actually good. Reviews on internet are very vague, and say: "If you're a splatter fan, you'll enjoy it!". I'm not a huge splatter-fan, so if these movies are nothing but splatter, I think I'll leave them where they are...

The movies that I'm talking about are:

*) Yakuza's Law
*) Kichiku
*) A Living Hell

Thanks in advantage,

Jan

I'm waiting on Kichiku from the mailman now. I've heard good things

Living Hell was really worth watching. I wont spit out a synopsis, but I'll say that its really fucking TWISTED and the lead actor (who was in BR?) put off a really good show.

Kichiku is grim from start to finish, depressing as fuck, and one of the most gruelling movies i've ever seen. Worth experiencing though.

I have A Living Hell but have yet to get around to watching it.

Thanks, I think I'm gonna buy these 2 dvd's tomorrow.

I heard there's a scene in Yakuza's Law where they MELT a guy's face with some fire...sounds awesome to me  ;)

P.S.: I've read that the first part of Kichiku is very dull...Is that true, or don't these critics know what they're talking about?

They're not wrong.
