Whats your favorite movie to have playing in the background when your doing whatever it is you do other than watch movies, which, lets face it, for alot of us isnt much. Whats the film and why?
To answer my own question im gonna have to go with The Royal tennenbaums, I dont know what it is exactly but maybe its cause i can pretty much quote that film back and forth word for word, and shot for shot. I dunno its kinda relaxing. But yea Im gonna shut up.... and GO!
Probably ALIENS. I saw it 8 times in the theater, and who knows how many times since. At one time, I could almost quote the entire movie verbatim.
It's sort of like having an old friend around the house. :D

Blazing Saddles. I have found that it's a great movie to play at a party where there are other things going on, everyone at one point or the other will focus on it and laugh and then continue on with what they were doing. I have yet to meet someone who hates it; also Blazing Saddles among people in my age group (I'm 20), very few of them have seen it making it a good conversation piece with those who show up wondering.
When I'm doing laundry, cooking breakfast, cleaning the house or just not in the mood to watch an entire movie, just need something to kill the ambience...I watch Mel Brooks' best flick, Blazing Saddles.
The original Dawn of the Dead is good for it too...so is Caddyshack

In "the Cable Guy" There is a mix of Dizzy Gillepsie's Salt Peanuts over Curtis Mayfield's "Pusherman" that's really awesome. It's in the scene where Jim Carrey poses as a bathroom attendant to Ruin Owen Wilson's date with Matthew Brodericks girlfriend Leslie Mann.

Probably Mallrats, Clerks, Swingers, Taxi driver, It happened one night, True Lies... Mallrats and Swingers is great as background "noise" when coming home dead drunk and check in these talkbacks...

Mines not a movie but a channel. ESPN News is what my tv is on all the time when I'm not watching it.
