Anyone else a fan of this subgenre?

Yes, but not quite so much for the last 6-7 months... One you missed, that I really love: Fail Safe. Brilliant drama, with a classic performance by Henry Fonda.

I only saw the Fail Safe that was live, with George Clooney and Richard Dreyfuss and I though that it was really good.

Yeah, it was. Nicely done and quite faithful. TCM ran the original after the Clooney version was shown, which was quite cool of them.

There was one that immediately came to my mind that you didn't list Antonio, The Quiet Earth(1985). I thought it was well done, despite it could've been better, but I liked it. The final shot is very cool.
