Finally got to see Twins of Evil. I got a copy burned on DVD from a Laserdisc. I really liked Vampire Lovers so I thought this one would be as good. It looked like the budget was a lot lower on this film and it was kind of choppy in the editing. The story could have been better too. It wasn't terrible but it didn't offer a whole lot either. I have not seen Lust for a Vampire yet, does it bridge the vampire lovers and twins of evil.

Personally I like Twins Of Evil a whole lot more than The Vampire Lovers . Lust For A Vampire is pretty dire I'm afraid but still worth a look for the gorgeous Yutte Stensgard in the lead role .

I think Ingrid Pitt made the Vampire Lovers the better film. She played a better vampire than those in Twins of Evil. Peter Cushing played a better role in the Vampire Lovers as well.

What made Twins of Evil an okay movie was definitely Cushings performance, he's just so freaking freaky here. I heard he was desperate because of his wive's passing away before filming the picture, and I think he put all his grief and anger in his role here. The rest is a sign of Hammer in decline - more gore, more tits, less atmosphere, less plot. Still a good timewaster but nothing to go nuts about. Like those tits though.

Vampire Lovers is on my "to be checked out" list, I've heard not many good things about Lust for a Vampire so I'm giving the former movie more focus.

Twins of Evil is one of the worst Hammer films ive seen, it really didnt engage my interest at all, the pacing was too slow and i fail to remember anything about it aside from some nice sets and costumes

having said that i really do need to see this one again

Yeah, I'd recommend seeing it again. I have seen some bad Hammer films and Twins of Evil is not nearly as bad as the worst. Overall its a good vampire flick, not great.

This to me was one of the best Hammer films Id ever seen. I really hope it gets released on DVD some time soon. I loved it cause it was edgier, sexier and the sets were awesome. Slightly better then your usual Hammer. Cool thing about this movie is that the sets didnt feel recycled. THe movie had a unique look to it.

In fact, I think I enjoyed Twins slightly more the Lovers.

Cant wait to see this one and Vampire Circus out on DVD.
