I'm watching Twister on TBS right now. Now, I own it, but im going to bed here soon, and there isnt shit else on tv to watch. I was enjoying it, up until about 5 minutes ago.

I know that when movies are shown on tv, sexual stuff and foul language is cut out. They've cut out language in this movie, which I'm fine with. What I am NOT fine with its what they just cut out. It's the scene where they are sitting and eating at Meg's and talking and Dusty explains why Bill is called "The Extreme", and then they talk about what the F's stand for in tornado classification. There was nothing wrong with the scene at all. It added character depth and explained more about tornadoes, and being that the movie is TWISTER, explaining tornadoes is quite important.

Cutting this scene makes zero sense to me. Zero.

Stupid tv stations.

Looks like it's time to pop the DVD in so that you can regain balance in your universe... :D

You should see how they butcher Shawshank Redemption.

You must also notice the warning at the beginning of the movie that says "Edited for Time."

That's the only thing I can think of.

Yeah that's pretty much probably the reason. Some scenes just don't need to be there to understand the movie... it sucks, but that's why I only watch movies I've seen, on channels with commercials. Main Reason why I still haven't seen the Matrix.. don't wanna see it on TV. (Please don't flame me for it, I just heard from some friends it wasn't that good, and I never was inspired to really find a way to watch it.)

I'm assuming they cut out the line "YOU'LL FEEL LIKE YOU GOT FUCKED BY A TRAIN".

AHAHA! It's fun to see what creative ways they can think to dub over Jason Mewe's voice.

I love watching Sex in the City on TBS but I hate the fact that it's edited. It takes the fun out of everything...

Although they can say 'asshole' on TBS. That's a plus I guess!

And yet, in "Night at the Roxbury," they changed the word "ass" to "tush."
It bugged me, for some reason.

I thought of this one too. And this one:

I was watching Dumb and Dumber last Saturday, and the scene at the end where Harry and Lloyd talk about ending their friendship and Harry says "You just tell me where to sign, Bud" came on.

Well, in the past, whenever I watched it they always changed Lloyd's response to "Right on my SANDWICH after you kiss it!". I was expecting it to be the same, when all of a sudden Lloyd finally said his original line "Right on my ASS after you kiss it!"

Again, they (TBS) make no sense to me. They change it umpteen billion times in the past and then all of a sudden its ok to say it so they leave it in.

Total mindboggler.

That is the worst one EVER!!! You can also include some of the instances where Bruce Willis and Dennis Franz start yelling at each other; the voice-overs are so obvious - it's ridiculous.

"This is what happens when you FIND a stranger in the ALPS!" -- THE BIG LEBOWSKI.

Funniest dub ever.

I've always loved the cheesy voice over in the cut version of Die Hard
" Yippie ki Yay My Friend "
