Mike Sampson is taking over!!!!!!!!

I've been reading joblo for about 2 years now, and just started to post on the discussino boards not too long ago. Now i didn't know where to put this but i guess it's more of a statement then a rant.

Who is Mike Sampson and what have you done with JoBlo! I remember that every sweet news story we got came from JoBlo or Arrow, a few others here and there, and now it seems i'm looking forward to seeing what Mike puts up next, rather then Joblo. Hell, I would like to see personal movie reviews by Sampson.

I know JoBlo is sick, so everybody doesn't need to tell me that. But it seemed that before JoBlo was ill that sampson started to slowly take over.

This isn't a hate topic, it's an 'Is joblo going into retirement and handing the torch to Sampson" topic.

Is Sampson the new 'It' guy for JoBlo, it seems that Joblo puts him in all the right situations, or is he a villian trying to take over.

I'll go w/ the second.

JoBlo has something, I can't put my word on it....oh that's right it's called A LIFE.

In case you didn't know, running this site costs money. JoBlo has to do other stuff than just run a site, so he hired help. Although I wouldn't call this help really since Sampson has been running the site since the beginning along with Jo and Co.

As I said, JoBlo has other things to attend to. He still has a major part in running the site, but he would leave the news up to Sampson and the others. Hey, remember Sampson's job was covering the news department?

The site has gotten bigger in time, it's too big for just Jo and Arrow to cover anymore. Most visitors come to the site and use it as their main source for knowing what's up with movies today, and if 1 person covered it with 2 more popping in every now and then, it wouldn't be too good.

I actually noticed that the other reporters put up more than sampson

Site's grown, Joblo has gotten more worthy and has to handle a lot of more executive decisions. He's also getting out there and doing cool things like going to Cannes and shit.

The news things are just cool appetizers for the site, at least for me.

Well we were all tight asses about it yeah, you would have to say you were being sarcastic before you got raged by people. You could have just said "Geez you people are too serious" or "I was being sarcastic" instead of GET A LIFE. If you meant that for sarcasm(can't understand your second sentence there, too many grammar errors), then you shouldn't have done it since we're all just a bunch of tight asses.

Plus there were no real hints of sarcasm in your first post.

Mike Sampson rules more and more every day. ;) I mean, he used to be the news dude, and now he's some kind of Senior News Editor with little minions (pretty good minions, too) working in his department. If this keeps up, by the time I'm 25, JoBlo.com will be a fucking multinational corporation.

Actually, I think Mike's whole evil takeover plan started when he dumped the old nickname (too goofy, he said) and came public under his real name. The motherfucker's been the man ever since -- and I'm sure he's trying to take over the world in some way, much like Arrow and Jo are (but ssh. That's a great point. I do rule more and more every day. One day I'll be like King Joffe Joffer up in this muhfuh. But another great point is that I have a great support team. From Omar to Tom Leupp to Sevan and everyone else that pitches in. If I was making an Oscar speech, I'd thank those guys. The real purpose of this thread -- indeed, kudos to the Sampsonettes (that's how I call the news team). Certainly doing a great job getting all the news that needs to be heard, with great pictures of hot ladies, and the occasional fun column (the Undeserved Deaths, the Hottie News, and so on).

I check out the News page every morning and every evening -- that's kudos to you, boys 'n girls.
