Porn star to address Oxford Union
LONDON (Reuters) - In its 183-year history, the august Oxford Union debating society has heard the wisdom of Winston Churchill, Ronald Reagan and Mother Teresa.

But until now, its members have yet to hear from anyone with quite the same resume as Ron Jeremy, star of 1,700 adult films, including "Bang Along With Ron".

"As far as I know it is the first porn star to address the Oxford Union. I'm 99 percent sure of that," Peter Cardwell, spokesman for one of the English-speaking world's most respected debating societies, told Reuters.

Jeremy, who claims to have slept with more than 4,000 women, will address the union on Wednesday, joining many British prime ministers, three U.S. presidents and political figures from the Dalai Lama to Malcolm X in its archival guest list.

"Ron is the biggest and apparently the best in the business, so I'm sure he'll have some fascinating stories to tell," said Oxford Union librarian Vladimir Bermant, who organised the event.


I've seen him interviews and the documentary Pornstar about him and Ron's a funny, cool guy, this'll be fun for the union.

I agree. I like Tera as well, but jeez. Have you seen her husband? Her taste in men is very questionable. Jenna could pull this off as well I think. I find her to be more intelligent than some people give her credit for. And lets not forget, she did hand Bill O'Reilly his ass on his own show.

Thumbs up for the Hedgehog. I've seen his documentary, and he generally comes across as being pretty intelligent. Much smarter than he looks. But he IS afterall, a bit of a ham. And seems proud of the fact that he's a press whore.

Evan Steinfeld, who played biker scuzz Jazz Hoyt on OZ. Personally and professionally, she's taken a major dive since hooking up with that guy.

Not really important or honorable to have a degree, and not use it..so the props to him being "smart" make no sense at all.

I also seen his documentary.... he aint so smart..he went all thru school and then chose a career in porn....USUALLY, people do stuff like that...stripping, porn, etc, to make enough money to GO THRU SCHOOL...so they dont have to make a living in that manner....not the other way around.

How is he any smarter than a high school drop out with a big dick who enters porn..... sounds like a level playing field to me.

Uhh...Buck, being that I had the pleasure of meeting and talking to both of them at my local town porn shop this past summer, mind telling me how she's taken a dive? :D

The last few photo sets I've seen of her she's looked like homemade Hell. She's gone from being extraordinarily beautiful to (at least from what I can see) looking stoned and old before her time. That's just me.

If you had a good experience with her, that's cool, and I find it cheering. She's always seemed like an interesting person and if you got her in that mode, I'm sure it was memorable.

I dig on you as a Schmoe, Joshmo, but with all due respect, I have to disagree here. Booksmart does not equate lifesmart, and to me, someone who has the intelligence and courage to be a success in the career of his/her choice is what counts.

But I also do agree with you as well...booksmart doesnt equate with common sense at all. I just think that some schmos earlier were equating him as being smart cause he had a degree.. thats why I mention Tracy Lords...though I think she was dumb for going into porn, I commend her for getting where she is without a degree and out of the world of porn..cause simply that business chews up more people and spits them out then not...but I also aint about to give props to those few who have managed to escape the drugs addiction and alcoholism while remaining in porn. Okay...Tera showed up for a guest segment tonight on her old show Night Calls 411, and, long story short...I'm an idiot.

She looked FABULOUS, just as creamy smooth and beautiful as always. She was dressed very nicely (at least for a while...:D ), appeared vivacous and funny as ever, and generally acted and looked every inch to be the tremendous babe she has always been.
