Anyone looking forward to Cronenbergs next feature? Its getting great reviews all over the place! Im a big Cronenberg fan, he still hasnt made a film that I couldnt apprecite. Well, maybe Shivers...but even that one has its charms. Spider was good...but it lacked the usual violent/sexual punch that were used to getting from a Cronenberg flick. With this one I think hes returned to his own violent/sexual usual self.

In A History of Violence Viggo Mortensen plays a midwest family man whose life gets turned upside down when some bad ass drifters try to rob his diner and kill everyone in it. He is trying to lead a quiet, charmed life with his loving wife and family in a small town. But when an unexpected incident turns bloody and brings unwanted attention to him, Tom is forced to return to his secret past in order to rescue his family from peril.

It is scheduled for a 2005 release.

The cast includes: Viggo Mortensen, Ed Harris, Maria Bello, William Hurt, Ashton Holmes, Sumela Kay

I too am a big fan of Cronenberg, and am anxious to see this. Nice to see Berg back on the big screen.

Cronenberg has a slew of promising projects on the horizon. He has one up his sleeve entitled Painkillers that supposedly deals with performance art and plastic surgery. If that doesn't smack of Cronenberg, I don't know what does.

I'm a big Cronenberg fan, and this movie sounds great. Cronenberg, Ed Harris plus the added hotness of Maria Bello? I'm there!
