What are your favorite live action or even animated (English or foreign language) revenge genre films, where a male or female character desired revenge for any valid reason/s and please state WHY, for each films named ?

Kill Bill 1 and 2 - Solid flicks that make up 2 halves of a whole movie by QT... Love the action in the first, and the dialogue in the second... Doesn't get any better than Uma kickin some ass! :D

I also LOVED The Count of Monte Cristo... The PERFECT revenge flick, expounding on the whole "Do unto thy neighbour" concept... Man takes the fact his friend fucked him over royally, by sending him to prison to die and stealing his Fiance', personally.... I'd do the same thing Mr. Edmond Dontes did! :)

Revenge moments, although not all of these are "revenge genre"

Rob Roy perfect duel with a perfect villain
Buster and Billie nails a guy with a cue ball
Lethal Weapon the fight at the end
On the Waterfront not sure if it still stands up but cool when I was a kid
Carrie prom night and crucifying her mom
Superman 2 returns to the diner
Casualties of War the shovel
Edward Scissorhands snip
One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest Jack vs Nurse Ratched
Straw Dogs can't remember what happens but it was satisfying

Once Upon a Time in the West is a close second.

Man on Fire rocked my world !

Ocean's Eleven isn't really a typical revenge film, but you just want Danny Ocean to hit Terry Benedict where it hurts.
