I hated House of the Dead, but actually thought Alone in the Dark was a decent movie. Certainly better than a lot of junk that came out this year.

Yes!! I can't wait to listen to this...

"Edward is not mysterious and does business as usual – which destroys his entire heroism – his entire reputation built up by the game, would be DESTROYED by this film. Edward has to be mysterious like in THE CROW and BLADE, he has to have special abilities and weapons and no normal BACKSTORY!!!

What isn’t much use are grave things: the dialogue, Edward’s Character and the story per se. IT IS GOOD THAT H IS NOT A SUPERNATURAL SUPERHERO - BUT HE CANNOT BE ALSO TOO NORMAL - HE IS A LONELY HERO."

I'll rent the movie for Arrow's cameo and for that sure-to-be-hilarious commentary. It looks like complete Boll-shit though.

I agree. "House of The Dead" was... but this movie was so much better to watch, enjoy and follow. Sure, if Uwe Boll took extra time to tinker with the movie, it could been better than decent, but for what it was worth... it was a okay at the time at the movies.

You know what I think, a lot of people just couldn't keep "House of The Dead" out of their minds upon entering the theater for this one. They ruined the movie for themselves by not opening their minds. I know, people want to rip me for saying that, it its true. You know what will happen, once this hits stores, more and more people will check it out of curiousity and find it to be a surprise.

Agreed. It's definitely better and ballsier than Paul "Play It Safe" Anderson's AVP

I haven't seen House of the Dead, and i'm not in any real hurry too, but I thought Alone In The Dark might end up being ok, but looks like I was wrong on that. No idea when it'll hit Australia, and it might follow HOTD's lead and go straight to video here, but we'll see. I might give this a rental....

The official artowrk has come out now as well. They somehow managed to get a positive quote out of all the slaughterings.
