Alexander on April 5th?

I got my lastest Columbia House catalog. It says that Alexander will be available to ship on April 5th 2005.

I didn't see it in theaters, but I'll pick it up once it's released.

I've heard so many different takes on this film some saying it sucked, some saying it was the most under-rated movie from last year. I'll wait to see for myself.

yea, dvdaficionado.com says the release date is in April as well... I really enjoyed this movie, I'm a big fan of huge War epics, and I don't understand why people HATED this movie so much... The fight scenes and everything were brilliant, and I thought Colin Farrell did a good job as the title character :)

I'll rent it whenever it's released. It looked alright, I didn't want to sit three hours in the theater for a movie I wasn't sure I'd like though.

WHY IS IT TAKING SO MUCH TIME FOR THIS DAMN FILM TO BE ANNOUNCED?
I mean, it's been almost 4 months since it was released in theatres and it's not even been officialy announced. Sometimes 4 months is what takes for movies to be released, not ANNOUNCED! And they better give us some 2-Disc Special Uncut Edition or something like that.
Oh, and by the way, yes, I liked the movie.

Stone mentioned that there wouldn't be a director's cut but since the movie tanked maybe he will be persuaded to do so to give the movie perhaps some better DVD reviews and revenues...but this is just speculation on my behalf.

I heard Stone was re-editing the flick. To mostly take out all of the sexual innuendo.
