This is the most retarded shit I have ever read in my entire life, I mean, seriously!
http://www.fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=3646

"Kentucky’s Lex 18 news site reports that an 18-year-old high-school student is facing terrorist threat charges because of a zombie story he wrote for his English class. William Poole, an 18-year-old student at George Rogers Clark High School, was arrested after his grandparents found the tale, in which the undead attack a high school, in his journal and turned it over to police. "I’ve been working on one of my short stories, [and] the short story they found was about zombies," Poole told Lex 18. "Yes, it did say a high school. It was about a high school overrun by zombies." Despite the obviously fantastical nature of his writing, and the fact that neither his own school nor any real people, school officials or police were mentioned in the story, Poole was taken into custody on a second-degree felony terrorist threatening charge. "Anytime you make any threat or possess matter involving a school or function, it’s a felony in the state of Kentucky," Winchester Police detective Steven Caudill told Lex 18. A judge even raised Poole’s bond from $1,000 to $5,000 at the prosecutors’ request, due to the "seriousness" of the charges. Poole is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center. (Thanks to Dyson O’Connor) —Michael Gingold"

The continuing decline of appreciation for any common sense in the world puts an endless twisted smile on my face.

I'll laugh out loud when they come all the way over here to arrest me for saying bad words on the internet. I'll officially die of laughter when James Logan is arrested for just generally being a dirty Frenchie.

Man...I love moronic horseshit.

You love nonsensical moronic horse-shit? I think it's fucking bollocks, and detest it with a passion... The fucking world is a sick machine breeding a mass of shit (a cookie to anyone who knows where that line came from) and it's typical insanity such as this, that keep it spinning endlessly down the shitter....

I wonder if the state of Kentucky has warrants out on Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen, and all of the Russian Invaders from the movie "Red Dawn".

And on the subject at hand, I want to see a jury of 12 people convict this kid on the charge . . . with a straight face. It's freakin' absurd what they did to this kid. I can see it being justified if the kid specified a school or certain people being attacked, but he didn't. I'm aware of the times we're in and what has happened in the past surrounding the subject, but I think this is taking it too far. I think the kid just has a love of zombie movies and was trying to be a little creative.

What I want to know is, how much do his grandparents hate him if they're reading his journal and turning him into police?

This is one of the most appalling things I've ever read! I seriously hope the kid sues back and everyone involved with this insane stupidiity lose their jobs!

But hey this could be good publicity for this kid and actually get his story sold therefore he can move away from his douchebag of a grandparents!

I have a script on my computer I've been writing for over a year now about a boy that plans to meticulously kill 2 of his classmates and take the rest of the school hostage because he's tried of being bullied by everyone. It's a story of about how cruel high school can be and how some people go to drastic measures to stop being picked on. It's not a story about how the kid just wants to kill. He just wants to stop the hurt.

Does this make me a terrorist?

What, the, fuck?
So if, say, a 6 year old writes a story about his school, he's going to be tackled by FBI agents?
So the whole Freedom of Speech thing just ends in Kentucky, then?

I wouldn't be suprised if the kid looks really nu-metal for his grandparents to turn him in. Nu-Metal I mean, long black (dyed) hair, black satanic T-shirt, and black jeans that are as big as the state of kentucky... Not that theres anything wrong with it, but you gotta remember Grandparents aren't gonna totally understand a kid like that.

Anyway... someone should write a script about this, and have zombies attack the judge, and all the cops. That'd be funny.

even more shocking, after explaining everything the courts still say he's breaking the law because the story threatened a public building and the judge RAISED the bail fee!

This is absolute and utter bullshit. It'd be the funniest thing I ever read, if I didn't feel bad for the poor young fucker being treated like a felon just because he wrote a creative little story. Not only that -- his GRANDPARENTS found the story and turned it over to the police because them, his GRANDPARENTS, considered it criminal. Isn't family beautiful? And then there's actually a sheriff who's stupid enough to defend the prosecution, and a judge who's stupid enough to set the bond at 5,000 dollars because of the "seriousness" of the charge.

And Gregorious8, man, "I'm willing to bet there's more to the story then what's reported"? What, did they also find all of the 87th Infantry Regiment of the Undead Legions in the kid's basement, preparing the attack?

Seriously, people? It's because of shit like this that some Europeans think America is a country of degenerate retards. Obviously it's not true, and anti-Americanism sucks, but it's getting hard to blame them. :)

Good luck finding it. It's been pulled from most libraries and hasn't been reprinted in years. I luckily found a used copy of the Bachman books a few years back. Every time I go book hunting I look for another copy (mine is in pretty bad shape) but so far haven't had any luck.

Don't lump us all into that statement. A lot of us DIDN'T vote for Bush thus paving the way for his little hoarde of right-wing nut-jobs to begin taking over the universe. There is a small band of us just waiting for a chance to rise up... You sayin' there's a RE-VO-LU-TION...

I'm just saying maybe the kid's got a history of this stuff, and this time his grandparents took it seriously.

I'm not saying I believe, just that there might be more info.

P.S. Am I the only one here with a plan just incase there is a zombie invasion? I've got everything planned out to perfection, now all I have to do is wait.

Update:
http://www.kentucky.com/mld/kentucky/news/11086999.htm
Details of student's writings revealed

By Peter Mathews

CENTRAL KENTUCKY BUREAU

WINCHESTER - A lot of people think William Poole is being unfairly persecuted for writing zombie fiction.

That's the theory on the Internet, where the George Rogers Clark High School student's story has attracted interest worldwide. But the evidence presented yesterday in Clark District Court was quite different.

Poole, 18, was arrested last month on a charge of terroristic threatening. Authorities said he had made threats against students, teachers and police.

Poole's grandmother found the writings at their Winchester home and was worried enough to call police.

In an interview after his arrest, Poole told WLEX-TV (Channel 18) that he had simply written a fictional story about zombies taking over an unidentified high school.

Sympathizers who saw the news story on the Internet have sent dozens of e-mail messages to police, the county attorney, teachers and others. In e-mail and on Web bulletin boards, they have suggested local authorities are "idiots" and "incestuous hillbillies" who were out to take away Poole's right to free speech.

However, Poole's teachers told police they had not assigned such a story or talked to him about it -- and had they seen it, they would have been obligated to report him to authorities.

And, as it turns out, Poole's writings include no brain-eating dead folks.

What they do contain, Winchester police Detective Steven Caudill testified yesterday, is evidence that he had tried to solicit seven fellow students to join him in a military organization called No Limited Soldiers.

The writings describe a bloody shootout in "Zone 2," the designation given to Clark County.

"All the soldiers of Zone 2 started shooting," Caudill read on the witness stand. "They're dropping every one of them. After five minutes, all the people are lying on the ground dead."

The papers contain two different dates of Poole's death.

Poole has corresponded with someone in Barbourville who claimed to have acquired cash and guns in break-ins, Caudill testified.

No other arrests are pending, he said, but authorities are looking for other potential suspects listed in Poole's papers who are identified only by pseudonyms.

District Judge Brandy O. Brown ordered the documents put under seal because they contain references to juveniles. She sent the case to the grand jury and rejected a request from Poole's attorney to lower his $5,000 cash bond. He is being held in the Clark County jail.

The story has attracted attention from traditional journalists at 60 Minutes and CNN, as well as Web sources such as morons.org and horrorwatch.com.

Authorities had released little information about the nature of the threats, and many people assumed from the WLEX story that Poole had been made a victim.

"I do find it sad that they would stunt the intellectual growth of a young person that way," one Web poster wrote.

Another offered a suggested headline for a parody publication: "Kentucky Police safe from Zombies because of lack of Brains."

Caudill said he had received more than 50 e-mails and perhaps a dozen "nasty phone calls."

But after school shootings such as the one at Columbine High School in Colorado, where 13 people died, authorities must take threats seriously, he said in an interview.

"Do we as a society want the police to stop there -- that he didn't mean it?" he asked. "I'm not going to take that responsibility and have children's and police officers' blood on my hands."

The fact that he talks about "zone 2" is a very weak piece of evidence. The last paragraph scares me. Finally, didn't 15 people die at Columbine (13 shot and 2 victums of society)?

When I was in the sixth grade, I finished my test early. I turned the paper onto its backside and wrote a story about a serial killer.

We all went on a field trip, and the killer offed our entire class one by one until four people were left, and I wrote about us getting attacked by the killer.

In the story it turned out that another classmate who was absent that day was the masked killer. We killed him.

The teacher let me read it aloud in class.

Lock me the fuck up.

A) has anyone heard if this kid has a history of this stuff? B) I made a movie were a bunch of people get killed, one gets a shotgun blast to the chest, another gets shot by a pistol and lastly a girl who finds out shes pregnant gets shot 3 times and the murderer smiles the entire time. Does this mean im phsycotic and need to be loked away????? FUCK NO!!!!! C) I think this whole story has been blown way out of proportion, yeah its wrong what they are doing to this kid, but now i feel its gotten too political.

On behalf of the Right-wing nut-jobs, I apologize if the kid was only writing a story about zombies. I enjoy the ocassional horror story myself as I'm an avid Stephen King fan (never did read "Rage" though).

I'm a conservative myself, but I don't want him to be arrested for what is supposed to be free speech. I don't know if this kid has a past. If he does, then I can understand why they are investigating him and making it a bigger deal.
