OK..... the 1st game was kick-ass.... 2nd game was (!*&?!)... 3rd... kick ass..

Now a movie.... set to be based totally on HARDCORE HORROR AND COOL ACTION

Gaga Communications have inked a deal with Capcom to make a movie based on game hit Devil May Cry. Devil May Cry is an action game whose half-human, half-demon hero, Dante, battles demons in the human world together with his female companion Lucia. The game has been a huge hit in North America and Capcom intends to exploit this popularity with a major Hollywood film. The budget is thought to be in the $40m range with a release being planned for 2005

If Uwe Boll directs i will cry i personally dispise this man with his bad ideas on terrible video game movies which is destroying the video game rep......thats what i've been seeing in the gaming forum i didn't check out any of the new movies like alone in the dark or whatever the other one is because they don't seem to have any relation with the game itself at all

While I REALLY liked those two movies, I agree that Anderson should just stick to things without a cult backing to it (Resident Evil, AvP) and keep doing things like Event Horizon

Most definitely. The same with Paul Anderson! Granted, Resident Evil was good, but considering we got shafted in terms of zombie gore (compared to Japan, which got the uncensored DVD) and we're still waiting on that Event Horizon SE DVD, give it to someone who won't shaft fans or the game itself.

I feel the same as everyone else: A) Uwe Boll had better stay away from this and B) If Paul Anderson is directing this thats all he had better do.

I agree with everyone that said Anderson should direct what others write as writing is definitely not Anderson's strong points. Although, not saying Mr. Anderson is bad by any means, I'm still a fan of his work but his last two movies were utter crap to say the least (Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Alien vs. Predator) but hes still a great director, just not a good writer.

Also, I'm a little skeptical about the release date for the "DMC" movie, I doubt we'll be seeing this movie during 2005 but I could be wrong considering its only March (and I usually am), still I'm remaining skeptical about the release date but anticipating the movie itself (as long as Uwe Boll ain't directing)

i haven't played this game simply because i don't own a PS2, but i have played House of the Dead....my friend bought the movie solely to torture his friends with...he forced me to watch parts...only PARTS and i have to say, who ever let this man direct movies should be fired and Uwe Boll forbidden from touching any equipment used to make movies.
