i wont post any spoilers...however i can already tell you that this will be one of those that people are either going to see 3 times, or bash the hell out of it...i enjoyed it and even though i saw it for free i will probably go again...i still have my free ticket from that two disc joke they released last week..lol..they were taking cell phones..not asking for you to turn them off..but taking them tonight..i mean they were actually searching people..it was like being in the airport..they had a wand and everything...and we dont even have a gang problem..but i think they were doing that becuase if you refused..they had 50 people there to take your place in line,i guess they gave all the comic and game shops a totoal of 675 passes..and thats how many people there were..lol..it was nuts..they had the local WB station there giving out stuff..i won a t-shirt and free passes for amityville horror

This film is going to be so divisive it's not even funny. Personally, I loved the hell out of it.

How come God himself (and by that I mean Arrow) hasn't got a review up yet?

Movie was crap...bad acting...bad scares...bad CGI...bad plot...movie was all around waste of time, not money because I didn't pay to see it...I think I'll watch the original now...

Just remember -- it's a drama, not a horror flick. It doesn't spend 110 minutes trying to scare the audience.

Looks like Horror to me. :)
Horror can takes its time to build the scares and add suspense, it doenst have to be gore-tastic to be good horror.

I hated....HATED this piece of dreck. I loved the first but this was too crappy for me.
They ripped off Dark Water big time.

I'd watch it again just to see Samara climb out of the well again.

I thought it was alright in lotsa parts, hilarious in many, fucking ridiculous in some and scary in VERY few (Im with Cthulu...her coming up the well is just crazy cool and disturbing)

Well it wasn't as good as the first movie, but still a great movie imo.
It was interesting to see more revelations about the ghost girl, also ya gotta love the Attack of the Killer Deer  (might have been cooler if they used Moose or Caribou instead. :p )

Possible spoilers
What w.as with those deer anyway? I personally thought they sensed Samara inside Aiden and reacted violently. like the horses did in the first movie, but I've read in one review that Samara possessed them and made them attack the car, which really doesn't make sense to me because she wants to be the Aiden, not kill him. . .

I was REALLY looking forward to this movie, after the horror flops that have been out so far.I can't say that I hated it,just very, very disapointed. I was hopeing that they were going to push the envelope a little more. But like someone else has said it turned out to be a drama with some booos thrown in.When it was over, all I could say was,.."is that it ?!?!"
There was so much they could/should have done with this.An evil spirit was taking over your child, thats a very bad thing, act like it ! ! The bad part is, Samra made a much more lively, intresting kid than Aiden was.
Oh well, at least Amityville looks pretty good.Skelaton Key may be a surprise, but for now I have to throw Ring 2 in with the rest of the so-so crowd that is really piling up this year.

This movie was a waste of 8 bucks. They basically took that one scene from the first one where Sumara crawled through the TV and played it over and over. What made Sumara scary in the first one was the fact that she was used seldomly and effectively. In this one she is seen too much and her actual face(which isn't disfigured or distorted at all) is shown. She comes off as too much of a sympathetic character.

Well since I didn't really like the original, I'm not gonna see it since its a common opinion it's (even) worse than the first.

Holy Crap. I'm not trying to take away from those people who actualy liked this ring shaped piece of shit....but this movie F***ing sucked ass. I found it to be rather uneventful and much slower than the first. I only found one scene worth my time and it was the one with the elk. That was pretty awesome. The rest just plain sucked. What a shame.

This movie was so awful that I don't want to see Dark Water any more, because the scares from the trailer looked so much like this movie. Water just isn't scary to Americans like it is to the Japanese.

Hmmm I wonder if The Man aka The Arrow liked it?

I saw Ring 2 last Saturday, and thought it blew steaming hot chunks of monkey poo. Half the audience laughed out loud during the ridiculous deer scene - not what the director intended, I'm sure! Samara's crawl out of the well was the only creepy thing in the movie.

I didnt really think much of the 'original' remake so i dont hold up much hope for this after reading the arrows review.
Think i'll give this a miss till DVD comes out.
