I call this a spin-of from The Ring and Grugde.... you decide....
This Hollywood remake is based on the Korean smash hit — well, in Korea anyway — Ryeong (The Ghost). So far, the wave of American adaptations of Asian horror (The Ring films with Naomi Watts, The Grudge with Sarah Michelle Gellar) has proven hugely profitable. But with the Jennifer Connelly-starring Dark Water and Wes Craven’s Pulse released before this, will audiences still be excited by the prospect of watching a beautiful girl being spooked?
Plot:
A teenage girl discovers that she is linked to a succession of people who have been murdered by an enraged spectre. To make matters even more confusing, she suffers from severe amnesia.
