A Nightmare Of Elm Street star Robert Englund is trying to persuade veteran scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis to reprise her role as Laurie Strode for one more Halloween movie. Englund, who is famous for playing razor-fingered Freddy Krueger, wants to team up with Halloween hellraiser Michael Myers for what he hopes will be another box office hit. But Englund will only take on the project if semi-retired Curtis returns to the big screen. He says, "The way it's conceived it would be a hell of an acting chore for her (Curtis), because she would get to do sort of a rehab/recovery performance, and it would be really fun. You could imagine, just see that whole arc of the character, from being damaged and addled and weak, then getting your strength back. It's that great old thing, the gunfighter who loses their courage. My idea is to couple her with a strong stepdaughter or daughter, so you have female heroines, which is that great Nightmare on Elm Street thing, except this time you have double the fun." Englund reprised his Freddy Krueger character for surprise 2003 horror hit Jason Vs Freddy, in which he came face to face with another scary movie icon, Friday the 13th's Jason Vorhees.

Please, oh please, let no one consider doing a Michael vs. Freddy movie. It would be nice if Curtis returned as Laurie in another Halloween installment, though. Any thoughts?

It`ll never happen. Englund was talking about this a while ago.

the idea of Laurie coming back to life and Michael vs Freddy are really lame. Nightmare and Halloween should each come out with there own sequels.

I'd fucking LOVE to see a Michael vs. Freddy flick... That'd be fuckin AWESOME if this were to ever happen... I could definately get used to these horror vs. crossovers! :D

Er...no. Let's not make all the horror villains live in a real world where they eventually meet and do battle.

Strange, this is my 3,000th post, and it ended up being on a topic I hate :D

Maybe not, with all the money made off prequels, sequels, and remakes there's always a slight chance. She may live , but I think due to Michael's track record HE WOULDN'T MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN. Now for Freddy VS Michael is believeable they're both from the Midwest. We'll just have to wait and see what unfolds on this subject...

*takes cover behind an overturned table before she says her opinion*

They should scrap this idea and make a Nightmare on Elm Street prequel. They got into it a little bit in Freddy vs Jason, but I want less gore and more suspense/thriller.

Everyone always talking about ROBERT ENGLUND being quite intelligent must be off their rockers!!! He must be fucking stupid if he thinks JAMIE LEE would come back for a trashy movie like a MICHAEL VS FREDDY! What a bad, bad idea. Even if her character wasn't already dead it would kill all credibility for the HALLOWEEN franchise.

I don't want to see a FREDDY vs JASON sequel, I don't want to see FREDDY vs Michael, and I damn sure don't want to see Jamie Lee Curtis return to the series. As far as I'm concerned the Laurie Strode character is dead. No more spinoffs. Just work on the next sequel (if that ever happens). Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.
