UNHOLY: wtf is going on

did anybody else try to check out the unholy movie website (www.unholymovie.com) recently? it used to be a government dept. of defense seal or something saying the website was shut down, now it's just a black screen with a crossed out message on the bottom... what is going on with this movie????

I tried highliting the site to see if there was anything hidden and lo and behold, i found an email link. so I emailed it for S*** & Giggles and got some ridiculous response back. I just want to know what this damn movie is about!!!!

Aint It Cool (http://www.aintitcoolnews.com/display.cgi?id=19540) posted an interview with Unholy's filmmakers recently, which includes info about the movie's plot but nothing about the DoD publicity stunt.

With Adrienne Barbeau AND Nicholas Brendon, I'm confident that Unholy will end up being a good flick.

I just hope it gets a chance at wide distribution and doesn't go straight to video or the Sci Fi channel.

They've updated the site. Now there's a "censored" document and a wav file that contains reverse speech - CREEPY. I listened to the reversed wav late last night and it gave me a genuine case of the shivers.

I love all the hidden messages on the page. "Hitler is on our side", is my favorite.

I wonder if the female voice in the wav is Gertrude? The wav is called "helpme", but it's not just reversed, it's filtered too. All I can make out is a bunch of moaning, and "fuck" repeated a bunch of times.

I've got a bad feeling, this movie is gonna suck.... really hard. I hope it won't, but no release until 2006, and they've got an intriguing website... bad signs.

"Martha" sent out another email today, and her message said they were her cries on the wav.

"Gertrude" is another character in the movie - casting notes described her as a conspiracy buff who looks a lot like a witch.

Links to a Morse code message for "Gertrude" (a character in the film) were recently posted at UpcomingHorrorMovies.com (http://www.upcominghorrormovies.com/movies/unholy.php) - today the Unholy site (http://www.unholymovie.com) was updated. The binary code was removed and a new wav file with a computerized voice was added.

The "little Julie" mentioned in the recording is someone from another forum who was supposed to meet "Gertrude," a character appearing in the film, on Monday night in order to obtain additional pages of the censored document.

well, it appears this is finally going to surface in September from Anchor Bay

i'd completely forgotten about this film and while i was initially quite interested in it due to the oddness of the marketing that's mostly gone now, i'll still be checking it out though

Been wondering about this for a year.

It just dropped off the face of the planet like 2 years ago and no one was keeping all of it updated here. Still gonna check it out, although Im not nearly as hyped up for it as I initally was.

watched this a bit earlier and was pretty damn surprised by it, the acting is mostly excellent and while the plot lost me in places it was very interesting although i'm not exactly sure what was going on at the end

Wow. While it certainly was no Hatchet(I'm more partial to those kinds of movies), I was extremely impressed as well. Damn original. Was the movie really only shot on 250k? I had two watch it twice to fill in the gaps I missed on the first time, but the lone fact I was able to watch it twice is an attestament to the entertainment value.

About the end CRONOS...

SPOILERS

I think she was zapped back in time before that guy could get her, and the whole movie started over again in a loop. But in the credits it suggested that U.S. lost the war to Germany, so I guess the dude was able to get some of the technology still. But that's just my interpretation.
