I honestly can't wait to see it. Hopefully Paul Schrader's version is as good as this review makes it out to be.

I'm one of the few people who actually liked Renny Harlin's version. But I am definately interested in seeing Paul Schrader's version as well.

I also read the review...and all I can is this is gonna be THE (VERSION) fans have been waiting for.... just from the review, the synopis and knowing who directed and wrote..sight unseen, it already gets a 7/10 from me..it can only go up from there.... keep this for posterity to see how right I was. :cool:

Im hoping this doesnyt get great reviews not based on t he quality of the film but becuase of how much hate surrounds the harlin version and how exalted Paul Schrader is. Hopefully it will only be judged on quality.

That's pretty ignorant to say it "sucked major ass". Warner Bros. is just stupid.

Incorrect. The Schrader's version wasn't released because it's an intellectual, low-key horror film with emphasis on the drama aspects. But the studio wanted a wham bang action horror movie with gore and special effects.

I'm looking forward to this. I'm a Paul Schrader fan and was pissed when they not only announced that they were ditching his version but replacing him with Renny Harlin. Oh well, I guess they learnt the error of their ways (rather like Fox with their recently released, and far superior, cut of Alien3). Or they just wanted more cash.

they recut Alien 3. I didnt know that. i gotta see it.


I hope this movie is good rather than its better than harlins version so it must be awesome
