FEVER PITCH - PG-13 (for crude and sexual humor, and some sensuality)

SAVING FACE - R (for some sexuality and language)

SIN CITY - R (for sustained strong stylized violence, nudity and sexual content including dialogue)

BATMAN BEGINS - PG-13 (for intense action violence, disturbing images and some thematic elements)

2BPERFECTLYHONEST - R (for language and some drug content)

THE BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY - R (for some language and a crude sexual reference)

BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN - (for sexuality, nudity, language and some violence)

BROTHERS - R (for violence, language and brief nudity)

THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALEXY - PG (for thematic elements, action and mild language)

HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE - PG (for frightening images and brief mild language)

THE INTERPRETER - PG-13 (for violence, some sexual content and brief strong language)

LORDS OF DOGTOWN - PG-13 (for drug and alcohol content, sexuality, violence, language and reckless behavior - all involving teens)

SAINT-ANGE R (for some nudity and disturbing images)

XXX: STATE OF THE UNION - PG-13 (for sequences of intense action violance and some language)

Most aren't surprising, but I really expected THE INTERPRETER to be rated R, and I was hearing that BATMAN BEGINS was going to be R

I have a feeling Batman Begins is going to have an R-rated level of violence, only they'll skimp on the red stuff. Probably about the same amount as any of the Matrix movies.

Hopefully the PG-13 rating won't hold BATMAN BEGINS back too much. It still looks like a great flick, and am anticipating it very much.

Exactly my thoughts. This movie has never needed to be graphic in it's violence, so I was expecting this. However, I also think that this will be the most intense Batman yet.

I'm happy with Batman Begins' rating, sounds like it'll go to the extreme of the PG-13 rating. I think the first two Batman films were like that too. This sounds like it'll be a great movie. I was expecting The Interpreter to be R as well, and though I already knew its rating and reasons, I love that Sin City is R.

About what I expected for almost all the ratings. THE INTERPRETER was the only one I wasn't totally sure of ahead of time, but from a business standpoint PG-13 is the obvious answer.

2BPERFECTLYHONEST

Funny, I always thought Hitchhiker's Guide was a sure-fire PG-13. I wonder if the PG means they'll skip the references to Eccentrica Gollumbits, the triple-breasted whore of Eroticon 6.

R - for having the most retarded title ever.

And did anyone really think that BATMAN BEGINS would be rated R? It would never ever happen.

I believe it's from the same guy that wrote GALEXY QUEST, which was a hard PG. I'm not surprised it's PG, I always thought it would be.
