On March 16, Duran Duran made it to Denver to promote their new album "Astronaut". Since I have been a fan since 1982: I splurged and bought a VIP package. I had 2nd row seats, got some really cool stuff; and a chance to meet the band. (Which I won!)

The original five members have reunited (John Taylor on bass, Roger Taylor on drums, Nick Rhodes on keyboards, Andy Taylor on guitar and Simon LeBon lead vocals.) Unfortunately, Andy had to return to the UK for a family emergency - but the fill-in guitarist did an excellent job. They played all of the old favorites and most of the songs off of the new album. (Which is really good - I definitely recommend it!)

Anyway, here is a photo (proof!!) of me with the band. From left to right: Roger Taylor, Me, John Taylor, my friend Dianna, Nick Rhodes, and Simon LeBon.

They are heading to the UK next - so any of you UK folks who get a chance to see them let me know!! They put on one hell of a show!!!

He was on the phone with one of the girls who won but couldn't make it. (She couldn't get a flight) so it was really nice of him to talk to her.

Did they play either The Chauffer or The Seventh Stranger(Their 2 best songs) or both?

I rarely go to concerts because it costs too much money. But I wish I could have been there. It was cool of Roger to take the time to talk to the contestant like that.

Oh, and great Beatles T-shirt too.

HAHAHAHAHAH!! Alas, I did not... Besides, he likes women who are - ah, - well endowed; and as you can see by the photo: I am NOT.

Besides, I like John!! ;)

Good on ya Bird!

You and your bud Dianna look positively radiant :)...Simon's a big lad isn't he? I always imagined him to be a bit of a short-arse in the flesh.

i missed my chance to see them on april 2nd and i am so damn mad about that, but unfortunately had to deal with the passing of a close friend so i had an 'excuse' i guess you could say. hopefully they come around again, i'd have gone absolutely insane hearing 'what happens tommorow' or 'new moon on monday' live...along with pretty much anything else they play which is usually great.

I'm hearing rumors that they're gonna make another sweep through America to play some more concerts - I'll travel to another city if I have to this time. I had an opportunity to go to Vegas but didn't take it. Then I heard that the band stayed after the show to party with the fans at Hard Rock. I was like

As much as I like Dom (the substitute guitarist) I missed seeing Andy with the rest of the band. I had a photo mat autographed by three of them so I need to find SOME WAY to get Andy and John to sign it too. I can't believe I forgot to get John's signature! I think I was just so in awe of actually being there talking to him. (I was like the village idiot. It was embarrassing.)

Here's another pic: I took tons.
