Licence To Kill is Certificate 15 in the UK.
Which equates to roughly halfway between PG-13 & R in the US if I'm not mistaken.

Most R rated movies get a seem to 15 here these days (yeah i'm from the UK too).
What I meant was the PG-13 cut is the only one available on DVD if I am not mistaken. Is there a DVD version, anywere in the world, that's uncut. Becuase for example Kill Bill vol.1 was released in it's R-rated version, worldwide except for Japan which got it fully uncut.

I don't think there is a official release of the uncut version as MGM want to keep Bond a family franchise. Why did John Glen (director) make the movie so violent in the first place? Surely he knew it was going to be marketed at a young audience aswell as an older one. And for some reason, Bond swearing just seems odd.

For those reasons (& others like the appalling Lethal Weapon-esque score) Licence To Kill doesn't feel like a Bond film at all.
It isn't a travesty like DAD but it does steer too far from familiar waters.
Dalton is excellent in it though if perhaps a little humourless.
