Looking over the two lists, I think 2004 has more to offer, but 2005 seems to have quality over quantity. What do your lists look like?

Well, let's see...
2004 had SHREK 2, VAN HELSING, TROY, THE TERMINAL, DODGEBALL, SPIDER-MAN 2, KING ARTHUR, ANCHORMAN, I ROBOT, THE BOURNE SUPREMACY, THE VILLAGE, MARIA FULL OF GRACE, FAHRENHEIT 9/11, and COLLATERAL, for me. That's 14 movies I was really looking forward to, saw all of them in the theater except VAN HELSING which I caught later on, and ended up loving only 6, liking 5 more and being disappointed by the remaining 3.
This year has KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, STAR WARS ROTS, MR. AND MRS. SMITH, BATMAN BEGINS, WAR OF THE WORLDS, FANTASTIC FOUR, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, DOMINO, THE DUKES OF HAZZARD (I mean, did you see those pics?), THE WEDDING CRASHERS, THE ISLAND, THE BROTHERS GRIMM, FOUR BROTHERS, AEON FLUX, ROMANCE & CIGARETTES, and add to that SIN CITY, for I won't see it before the summer because I'll be travelling in-between countries with different release dates. That's 16 movies, several of which (KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, STAR WARS, BATMAN BEGINS, WAR OF THE WORLDS, SIN CITY) seem to have the serious potential to be FANTASTIC movies to me, and I'm hoping at least some of the others will check out as something at least pleasant to watch. I'm not sure about DOMINO, DUKES OF HAZZARD, FANTASTIC FOUR, THE ISLAND, FOUR BROTHERS or AEON FLUX, so those could very well suck. But I'm hoping they'll be at least a fun 90 minutes.
Overall, though, definitely looks to me like this year has the potential to have WAY more quality than last year's summer, yeah.
