Turn Off The God Damn Heat, And Let me Enjoy The Movie

i went and saw SIN CITY last night (fuckin GREAT flick) but the theater seriously had the heat cranked up to like 90 fucking degree's... me and everyopne i was with was sitting in a pool of sweat throughout the fuckin movie. I didnt want for the movie to end because it was so good.. but i did because i was so incredibly hot... im going to call the thater today and complain about that, because it def took away from my enjoyment of the flick.

This ever happen to anyone else?

Other than that I am suprised NO ONE went out to alert management on that....:confused:

could have been the ac was busted, if the theater was full and the ac was out it was most likely the mass of bodies radiating body heat.

My biggest complaint is that I freeze my ass of in most theaters cause the ac is too high

And it isnt that the AC or whatnot was broke... this has been a problem at this theater for a while... but last night was def the worst of the bunch... pools of sweat!

Me too, they blast it where I go to, reguardless of season.

It's cold in the theater so you can stay alert and not fall asleep during the movie. When it's really hot, then people get comfortable and relaxed, and are more susceptible or prone to sleep or get tired. It's always freezing in the theaters that I go to, but I would much rather be cold than really hot, because I can go to sleep really easily, especially if its a bad movie I'm watching. ;)

Speak up? Why is it the consumer always feels the need to tell management when something is wrong? How do you know some other people got their before you and asked if they coudl turn up the heat?

Also, i don't see people 'speaking up' when something goes right, or they actually enjoyed their expericence.

It's the opposite here in France. Theaters tend to be chill-y! But it's good, keeps you awake.

i called today... just said that it was incredibly hot in the theater and we were all sitting in pools of sweat. The dude said it is something they are working on, especially before the rush of Star Wars: Episode 3. He said a big problem was that it was pouring down rain outside and the humidty had got into the theater, and it was a full show, so naturally it was hotter (which i knew).

I had the EXACT same goddamn thing happen to me during the EXACT same goddamn movie! I really enjoyed Sin City but I know that I would have liked it much better if it wasn't hotter than the freakin' sun in there!

The same thing happened to me too. I was watching Sin City last weekend and the heat was set on something like 322 degrees. It was so hot but I tried not to let it bother me. My friend was sweating so bad though. He kept moving around b/c he was so uncomfortable but we didn't want to get up and tell someone b/c the movie was so good.

My theater is the total opposite always so damn cold in there even in winter it feels like they have the AC on.I have to leave my coat on it's so cold in there

Same with the theatres I go to. Cinoplex Odeon seems to want us to freeze. You even have to bring a jacket during the summer. I'll take being to cold over being to hot any day though.

ya... i wish they would freeze us in the theater also. Being hot sucks... dripping with sweat while there is a super sexy female your with sitting next you is alot less sweet than having said super sexy female being cold, and you offering her your sweatshirt or coat!

Stupid cockblocking theaters!
