I did a search and couldn't find a thread devoted just to them, so I'll take the liberty.
I'm really in love with this band. I can listen to any song and not get tired. I'll listen to With Arms Outstretched 5 times before moving on, haha. I also have a crush on Jenny Lewis.
I'm seeing them May 27th in NYC. It's gonna be awesome, I really can't wait.
Share the love.

I honestly just watch the video for The Frug constantly. She's so cute and falling in love with her is unavoidable.
If you had told me that I'd be into a band with the girl from the Wizard and Ronnie Pinsky, I'd say you're nuts. But this is really so good.
I'm seeing Bright Eyes 6 days earlier at the same venue, so needless to say...May will be a great month
I love this forobvious reasons:

You're awesome. I didn't know there was a video for "The Frug", so I just fired up Yahoo! Music and watched it and... I said GODDAMN, Jenny is the cutest woman in the world, bar none, face down, period. Thanks for the tip. In turn, I recommend you check out The Postal Service's video for "We Will Become Silhouettes" which features Jenny, although not in the close up way that the former does. But she does look adorable bopping from side to side. I'm going to be in that concert hall 5 hours early so I can be nearest the stage and breathe her in.

I'm pretty much in love with the band (and Jenny) as well. Can't get enough of them/her. Where did you find that video online? I haven't seen it myself yet, and...as said, can't get enough of them.
Unfortunately there's probably very little hope of me seeing them live any time soon, but that's what you get for living out in the arctic circle...
I'm really enjoying More Adventurous at the moment, hoping to get thier other records soon

If you're using Firefox, it might not work. So open up IE. Go here (http://launch.yahoo.com/ar-294067-videos--Rilo-Kiley) and click on "The Frug", hit Full Screen and enjoy. My favorite moment is when she smiles after the first verse. Le sigh.

I listen to Execution of All Things every night when I'm going to bed.

I've never heard of this band, but I watched the video out of curiosity. Yeah, she's cute. It's a fun little song that reminds me of something I would have seen on 120 Minutes in the early '90s. That can't be a bad thing.

Well you wouldn't have seen it in the early 90's but I'm pretty sure it played late night MTV when it came out.

Thanks a lot, that was pretty great. I'll join in on your "le sigh" as well, she's just so...sigh.

I'd like to Robocop her.
Sorry. *puts her back on her pedestal*
Just curious, what movie was the song for?

It's from a little indie flick called Desert Blue (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0126261/).
Lordy. She's just adorable in that video, not that she isn't in general. Fun little pop record too.

She's in the video for We Will Become Silhouettes by the Postal Service too, since she does some singing.
I really can't wait to see them play.

My friends make fun of me because of how excited I am to be in the same room as her. Admittedly, I am obsessive.

I saw them last night and it was opened by Morgan of Vagtown 2000 fame (Jenny's best friend) who was awesome. Neva Dinova were pretty good too, although they had some audio trouble. Then Rilo Kiley came out and played an amazing set, mostly off More Adventurous and The Execution of All Things. Their last song was almost 10 minutes long, just an explosion of guitar and drums that left everyone stunned. It was breathtaking. After the show I met the bassist, guitarist and drummer as they stepped on the tour bus and they were really nice. Then I went back in to grab some Rilo Kiley merchandise and got a poster, t-shirt and some buttons. I ran into the guy who played trumpet on some of the songs and we started talking. He told me Jenny was in the bar next door. So I headed there and saw that she was having a drink with the guitarist from Neva Dinova. There were some fans getting her autograph, so I stuck my poster in there and got that signed. Then I asked if I could get a picture and she said yes and pulled me close and put her hand on my shoulder. As Ted Logan would say, most excellent! I told her she was great and that I loved the band and she seemed touched. Fantastic show by Rilo Kiley and Jenny Lewis is absolutely one of the nicest people in the world. If you get the chance to see them, try and wait by the tour bus for an hour or two or ask one of the roadies to introduce you to Jenny. It's worth it.

Hah, at least someone is. I've been telling my friends about it and the most common response is "Rilo what?"
But they're getting popular. I've seen the 'Portions for Foxes' video on rotation on MTV2 and they've performed it on Conan. Also, they will be opening (http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1502431/20050517/coldplay.jhtml?headlines=true) for Coldplay this summer. So don't feel too down, buddy. It's likely as they get bigger, they might kick off an European tour for the next album and I really hope they come your way.
Anyway, I have some pictures from the concert:

Heh...I might just see 'em before that, since I'm coming to North America this fall. So it may not be so far anyways.
Still, that pic with Jenny makes me wanna get on a plane right now and see them anywhere I can :)
