LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Paris Hilton and Jason Mewes are toplining the indie comedy "Bottoms Up" for Paul Walker's Blue Collar Films and Cameo FJ Entertainment.

Described as in the vein of "Swingers," the comedy-drama tells the story of a Midwestern bartender (Mewes) who finds love with Hilton's character as well as money and success in Hollywood. Walker is expected to have a cameo in the project.

The script was written by Nick Ballo and Erik MacArthur. MacArthur also is directing.

Hilton, whose credits include "Raising Helen," "Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat" and "House of Wax," recently completed shooting the independent comedy "Pledge This!"

A Kevin Smith regular, Mewes has appeared in the writer-director's "Clerks," "Dogma" and "Chasing Amy," as well as "Scream 3." He appears next in the horror comedy "Feast."

It doesn't sound too bad. I really love Mewes all of the the Kevin Smith stuff he's done, and he was funny as his cameo in SCREAM 3. Hilton, who hasn't really been annoying me lately, I hear is quite good in HOUSE OF WAX. I'll see it.

I don’t know about this... it'll probably suck but I’ll see it anyways, for one, Paris is hot (although a dirty slut, in which adds to the flavor;)), and two, I’d really like to see Mews star in a flick out of the “Jay” character.

Hmm. Interesting.

Jay and Paris Hilton teaming up. Pretty odd but intriguing. What worries me is that it sounds like this is actually going to require both of them to do some real acting. I mean, don't get me wrong, Mewes is funny in the Kevin Smith movies he's done, but that didn't really require much out of him. And while Paris Hilton was competant in her cameos in The OC and Las Vegas, those roles didn't really require anything out of her either.

But I'm certainly willing to give this a try.

I am so over Paris Hilton it's not even funny. With the exceptiong of House of Wax, I plan on avoiding anything with her in it like the plague.
