Because those pop up ads for it will not go away. For real. I'm used to one or two coming up on the movie news sites I visit, but it is on every damn page. Flies everywhere. And it always comes just as I'm about to click on something else, but then it gets in the way. Go to hell, "Amityville".

Do you think it'll be any good, though?

An odd reason to already hate the movie. You should hate the websites instead. ;)

but yeah..i think it looks good, and can't wait to see it.

It does look incredibly lame and not the least bit scary. And considering it's "from producer Michael Bay", I will be staying as far away as I can....

Calling people on this site "bitches" is one reason.

when I read his post I didnt see anything that would get him banned, I dont believe he meant it in an aggresively offensive way. It was just friendly/annoyed vibe he got.

anyway.

This is going to be good, looks creepy

Everyone can call me their bitch if you want, I get that a lot from my girlfriend, and I don't have a problem if guys I don't know call me that. Thank you.

Hmm...as for the movie, I think it will be better than the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. Plus, I think Ryan Reynolds kicks ass. Yes, he rules. Two Guys, A Girl, and A Pizza Place fucking rocks.....BOOYA!

I'm stoked to see this as I think Ryan Reynolds is awesome and the trailer looks great, plus there is no way this could be worse than the absolutely HORRIBLE original.

this remake looks great - I am really excited for it on Friday. The original was not that bad, but it was by no means great.. the book was scary as shit from what I remember - haven't read it since 8th grade. But yeah - definately looking forward to it.

I am also excited about this movie but for one reason, Ryan Reynolds is in it. He kicks some serious ass.

Words of doom.

I cringe every single time that preview claws it's way into whatever entertainment medium I'm currently enjoying.

I'm really excited for this one, the book is scary as hell. I am also a big Melissa George fan after her role on Alias season 3. Very good actress.

And for the record, I don't know what everyone's problem is with Michael Bay! I mean, I can safely say that I have enjoyed pretty much all of his movies and I'm sure I'm going to enjoy The Island when it comes out. Jeez people, give the guy a little credit... :)

I'll probably just wait to see it on DVD. I'm not much into remakes. I still haven't seen the Chainsaw remake. I'll eventually get around to it.

I could care less about this. I hope it bombs horribly though and the next couple of remakes.

I want to see it. Decent reviews at rottentomatoes.

as for the popups, yes they are annoying indeed.

I have a stupid question. I hear that they are trying to stay true to the book, so does this really make this movie an official "Remake"?

If the original movie was a stand alone and not based on any book, I could see why it would be considered a remake. Since it's going more by the book, I would consider this the Amityville Horror movie.

It was like when they re-did The Shinning that was made for TV. They didn't consider it a remake from the Stanley Kubrick version.
