This trailer just blew me away into smetherenes. Fuck, what the hell did I just see anyway?
If this is done right, this could have some really heavy competition with LOTR, the King of Trilogies.
Wow. I am going to see that trailer over and over again.
Wow.
Scratch anything off my list except Batman Begins and Fountain. This is an immediate must-see film.
The Russians know how to make nice cinema.
P.S. Did the Man Himself, Q Tarantino, praise the hell out of this movie at the Empire Movie Awards?

WOW that was an amazing trailer. This looks like a cross between The Matrix and Night of the Living Dead. Does anyone know the plot of this film? I know the name because I read an article about how it was big in Russia because it was the first Hollywood-like Russian-produced film. I heard critics gave it mixed reviews, but in a news article that doesn't mean much. I want MORE!
I'm going to watch that again. The flaming jet engine for some reason reminded me of the plane sequence in Fight Club. Very cool.
BTW, will this film be ruined, er,... dubbed when it's released here? I'm getting this sinking feeling that Fox is afraid that the younger crowd won't see this movie if it's dubbed.

I hope that they dont dub it. I hope they put subtitles.
Looks amazing. The plot is basically about the forces of darkness and the forces of light battling it out, with the special "Others" being the Night Watch for the forces of light. I hope Im getting this right.
Anyway.
I heard this was the first part of the first book. There are three books and three stories to each book. Wow.
Does anyone know where i can buy english version books?

The trailer was good, but it looks like a Russian film that is trying way too hard to be a Hollywood movie in the vein of, say, The Matrix (this is coming from someone who is a big fan of Russian cinema).
I've heard mixed reviews on it from people who have seen it too.

Oh, and I saw the Russian trailer a few months ago. It was kind of awful. It looked like a badly hybridized Russian-Hollywood clash.
I will still see it though.

I've read various reports of this movie and the majority have been overwhelmingly positive. I like the idea and I like the visual style of the movie. I actually have a copy on it's way on DVD so i'll be able to add a more substantial opinion soon.

The film has been out for quite a while and IMDB has a lot of comments. The score is 6.2.

...It's worth noting that russian reviewers are much, much harder on this movie than others. Maybe for russians there is no novelty value in the fact that this movie is russian.
The 2nd part of the trilogy is out already this year:

I think it looks good. The fact that it's a trilogy amps me even more.

I'll giv'm this... at least they're honest, and upfront, about it being a Trilogy. I just hope they've gott'm all done already.
As for the movie.. meh, I NEVER base anticipation, based on trailers alone. It's too easy to cut a shitty movie, into a GREAT trailer..
We'll see... we'll see.

I hope it's a big hit. I don't want to have to wait a long time for the American remake.
My Russian friend and I watched this movie last year. It's one of the worst movies I've seen in the past few years. An extremely boring and incoherent mess. Apparently, the theatrical version was a two hour cut of what would later be a four hour movie shown on Russian television.
