I was just checking for some new movies and i happend to come across this flick. I never heard of it at first, then i did some research and found out it was a BRITISH flick. So i rented 28 Days Later.........

Verdict...... 7(10)

Now part 2 is on the way called.....Guess.....!!!! Come on.... try....

28 Weeks Later .....

CHEESSY!!!!

Anywaz, i just thought you fellow schmoes was interested.....

28 Weeks Later:

While the studio would confirm only that a sequel is in the works, sources said the tentative title is "28 Weeks Later" and that the studio is circling Rowan Joffe to write the script. Boyle is not expected to direct the sequel, though he and screenwriter Alex Garland likely will take producing roles alongside the first pic's producer, Andrew Macdonald.
Naomi Harris who played Selena in 28 Days Later has been quotted as saying that Danny Boyle would NEVER do the sequel. But seeing as how FOX owns the rights to the film, I doubt they really care. They will pick up some director that they think can pull it off and cash in on this film regardless.

I don't really care about this movie and would pay 5 cent to see the sequel.......

Is a sequel really needed? I guess 28 Days Later was alright, but it wasn't really anything special.

I don't what can they do with a sequal because the end of the first really didn't need anything after

but if you remember there is at least one more zombie left, at the end there was that one looking like it was going into convulsions. so that might be where they are picking up. that one goes on a rampage and blah blah.... loved the first one and will most likely love the second... worth more than a 7/10 though. id give it a 9/10

That infected person was dying though due to starvation though. :p

I honestly can't see a sequel either. The first one wrapped it all up. This is completely unneeded.

Unsurprisingly this WILL have a sequel... It's completely UN-necessary, but it's all about the money at this point... I LOVED the first one, and will inevitably end up paying to watch (and maybe buy, depending on how good it is) the 2nd as well...

That's a rather stupid title though... They might as well call it "56 Days Later" or some such nonsense...

I agree w/ Trail_Blazer (shocking, I know...)

I actually preferred the alternate ending on the DVD because it was much more realistic... I wonder what direction they'll take? I hope it's not like Resident Evil...

I loved the first one, and a sequel will have no bearing on that either way, so bring it on i say.

It it rules then were in for a treat, if it sucks then theres jsut another one for the pile.

....really however, i wouldnt bring back ANY of the main characters, but rather focus on different characters AT THE SAME TIME that the first movie took place.

Oh dear another uneeded sequel, cha-ching!! goes the cash draw at fox yet again.

But at least horror is still making money at the box office so renewed interest in the genre by the masses means more new productions as well, even if they dont recieve the fanfares and marketing of the big buck remakes etc!!!

meh, i really enjoyed the first but dont see the point in a sequel, dumb title too, i expect the third one will be called 28 months later and then 28 years later or something dumb like that

I posted on a thread on this last year...

Theres really no need for a sequel...ESPECIALLY if Danny Boyle isn't involved
