This is the big debate I hear on everyone's lips! You have one side of the boards, people are like "Yo, dawg! You down with Phil Collins, Hall & Oates, Indigo Girls, and Sting?" then some crazy ass mofo always break out with "No way, homeboy -- I'm all about Weather Report, Jan Hammer, and Steve Hunt."
That shit always ends with someone getting stabbed. It's crazy, man. I dont get it, because sometimes you have an album like the Miami Vice soundtrack that combines BOTH ADULT CONTEMPORARY AND JAZZ FUSION. That's where it's all at if you ask me.
So what's the score? Which is better? Adult contemporary, or jazz fusion? I say adult contemporary.

I too like Phil Collins...so I guess I'll also have to go with adult contemporary.
Peter Gabriel still kicks his ass though.

Hey, I'm an open Phil Collins fan. Why else would I have waited in line to see Brother Bear?

I'll be the first to say jazz fusion. Bitches Brew (I have the complete sessions, an excellent purchase) is an awesome album, and I was listening to Chick Corea's latest the other day and it too is awesome (especially Dave Weckl on drums, amazing). Coincidentally, I'm seeing Chick Corea next friday.

Damn - Good call. The first two tracks (disc one) are friggin; amazing. I play that album lots while driving around town -- very loud. I know that people think I'm listening to rap or techno too because of the heavy bass lines.
Though MUCH MUCH more pop oriented, Chuck Mangione's put out some cool albums, and has some how become a secondary character on King of the Hill.

I like them both. We have a fairly new jazz station in Baltimore and I listen to it everyday. This jazz station also plays Phil Collins too as a matter of fact, so I get both fixes in LOL.

Jazz Fusion since Bitches Brew (All discs) is just amazing as hell.
