SPOILERS
ok now im posting this here instead of the star wars forum because it may or may not have been covered already but i'll do it here so i dont embariss myself to bad, now i know that most people hate the way boba fett dies in return of the jedi, i watched episode 2 last night and i think boba fetts death has a connection with his fathers jango fett's death, i never noticed that during jango's fight with mace windu his jet pack is sparking like crazy, it looks like its malfunctioning, now heres where i dont know if i'm just barking in the wind or if i've made some sort of connection, i dont know if boba uses his fathers armor or not,
p.s. please dont rip me apart i know boba doesn't really die, and i may have missed a few details, fill em' for me, give me thoughts wtvr, just noticed this last night and thought i'd shareSPOILERS

Good observation, but also hardcore spoilers.

I'm pretty sure it was just Lucas thinking it'd be cool to see Jango and Boba die the same way. But yeah i did notice it as well.

I'm pretty sure they use the same armor though.

That's an interesting point.
You guys sure Lucas did it on purpose? Could just be he just thought about the sparking thing in both cases, and put it in twice (you know, like when you use the same line in two different scripts). Or he did it on purpose, and it's a nice little "private joke" of sorts.
Good observation.

It's probably more than a coincidence. I think I heard somewhere that the sparks and the puff of smoke/fire that comes out of Jango's jetpack before he's killed wasn't in the theatrical release but that Lucas added it for the DVD/video release. I don't know if thats right but considering Lucas loves to change shit in his movies after the fact, I wouldn't discount it.

I think they mention in the Attack of the Clones Commentary that Boba wears Jango's armour which is why it is so tattered and worn out.

In the commentary track for Attack of the Clones, Lucas said that he added extra smoke and sparks to Jango's jet-pack to show that the big beasty that rolled him had damaged his pack. That's why he didn't fly to get away from Mace Windu.

That's okay. Maybe you could edit your post so in case someone hasn't seen Ep 2. or 6, they won't get pissed.
I think there is something to your observation, because we know Lucas put in someone hitting their head because they were a clone. It would be along the same lines.

Interesting stuff.
For a minute there, I thought this thread was about a new reality show. :D

Or another Lucas holiday special
you would thing that using his fathers armor, boba would fix it up somewhat so there's no chance of messing up on him.

It is. It's called Survivor: Mustafar (aka Episode III).
