Havent seen this one, don't think it's been posted yet, so here's a try-
April 26: CHILDREN PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS again
Variety reports that Bob Clark, who is already involved with a redux of
his BLACK CHRISTMAS (with the writing/producing/directing team of Glen
Morgan and James Wong) is now gearing up to remake his first horror
film, 1972's CHILDREN SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS. Clark has
completed the update script, and will direct the $12-million feature
starting in September on British Columbia locations. The original was
about a group of oddball filmmakers who travel to an island graveyard
and disinter a corpse, whereupon the rest of the buried dead rise from
their graves and attack the desecrators; no word yet on how closely the
new version will hew to the old. Clark is also producing, as part of a
new deal with Canadian veteran Victor Solnicki, who was behind such
David Cronenberg classics as THE BROOD, SCANNERS and VIDEODROME.
