I'd like to say sorry for being the source of some controversy -i was adding this comment in the Sanshodayu topic, but found it was closed. No offence taken;i was just a bit surprised.I had realised i'd become(just a little!)addicted to posting;i think it must be to do with taking my mind off my wife's being in hospital, and has passed the time nicely in between visits.Don't worry, the addiction will wear off,in fact i'm probably now cured!I do love world cinema, and only wish it were as accessible as,say,international/classic painting and music,so try to share my passion and spread the word.Apologies, too,if i may come across as a clever-clogs/snobbish,or am out of synch with other posters.I do get out- love taking the dog for walks several times a day in the beautiful countryside here, and appreciate how wonderful life is.Am not on any drugs i'm aware of.Thank you for people's kind words.Have a lovely day and much happiness everyone.

Personally, I really appreciate your posts and look forward to more. Speaking as someone who has been registered here for six weeks and is pushing 400 posts, I say post more. That's the whole point of this place.
Sanshodayu - You're a breath of fresh air. Your posts are greatly appreciated. They're a lot more interesting than, say, the frequent posts regarding a film's box-office potential. Although I like to dabble in it just to check my own grasp of the country's pulse, I don't give a fuck most of the time. I'd rather engage in discussions about Michael Powell, for example. Thanks. And post as frequently as you'd like.

Ditto. You've challenged me with your stunning knowledge of world cinema and appreciation for cinema in general. Lately I've been on a crusade to expand my horizons regarding silent films, classics, and world cinema; now I see I have a far way to go.
Welcome to the board man, and keep up the great posts!

I have to agree with the previous replies. I have loved your intelligent posts and as with bskutle, you have also challenged me to look at different films from different parts of the world. To quote Max, you're a breath of fresh air.

While I dig the dude, this topic has nothing to do with movies, and thus does not belong on our board.
