Newest Rejects Trailer

Now, I really dug the original teaser/trailer for this flick, but the second one that was released lowered my expectations significantly. This newest one, however, has raised them again. This looks like one brutal fucking movie. It looks like the cartoonish aspects of HO1KC are completely gone and we're left with one mean horror flick.

What's everyone else think of the new trailer (link on the Arrow news section).

I'm NOT a fan of HOTC. However the new Rejects trailer has caused my curiosity to rise. This might be worth something. I'll probably check it out as a rental at best.

I wasn't a fan of the original, either - I thought Zombie tried to do too many things at once and it ended up feeling a bit jumbled, but I'm actually pretty psyched about this one. It looks mean - and that's one creepy mask-wearing motherfucker at the end of the trailer - WTF was that?

I agree. Zombie tried to slam everything into one film with HOTC and IMO it merely came out as one long ass music video.

Still skeptical about this flick due to what happened with the first one. Love the man's music but I don't know...

As for the thing with the mask at the end reminded me of Stretch in TCM 2 when Leatherface put that guys face over hers. Yea, you know what I'm talkin' about. Eww. Anyway looks like a victim thats perhaps gotten away or trying to get away. Jes' a thought.

Has anyone read the review over at bloody-disgusting? I'm too lazy to find the link now, but he said it was the best horror sequel he had ever seen, he couldn't say enough about it.

The only thing I'm wondering is how it's actually going to be a horror movie...That may sound kind of weird, but just hear me out. From the previews, and website, and everywhere else, it seems like a revenge-themed NBK, a western-action movie. I know that the family goes on a killing spree while on the run, but that still doesn't seem truly horror. Genre, definately, but not so much horror. Maybe it's just the setting. I know that the Hitcher worked in a similar setting, but I think the styles of these two movies don't really compare. Either way, I'm sure it'll be great.
